My first post for #NeedleworkMonday!! ♥ My first cross-stitch in YEARS!

I've never done a 'NeedleworkMonday' post before, and this really isn't that exciting of a project, but here ya go!

I have been having a ridiculous week, and haven't been able to post much. I've got the queen of anxiety struggling with issues, kids coming down with a cold, and the kids' friend's birthday party to deal with. My husband has dismantled my car to totally change out my brake system. The neighbors have been coming over frequently unannounced for various reasons. Dealing with a little anxiety and depression myself... Its just been insane!

Here is a cute little cross-stitch that I did. ♥

Last time we went to Hobby Lobby, I got this little cross-stitch kit for myself. I was buying all kinds of crafty things for the kids, and these were only $2, so why not? I like crafting too! Well, it's taken me about 2-3 weeks of intermittent sewing, but I finally finished! Just in time for #needleworkmonday!

It was pretty fun to do, and I think I'll have to make another one soon. Maybe I can come up with my own pattern! I'd like to do one of a cute snake or something. I gave this one to my son because he loves kitties and really liked how it came out. ♥

Thanks for reading! I know it's not the most inspiring 'needlework' ever, but it was my first time having something to post for #needleworkmonday.

I always admire the fantastic projects people post in that tag!

Thanks for reading, and, as always, have a blessed day! ♥

Cats do make the home complete. cat_with_yarn.png

They do, that's for sure. :)

I can officially say to you “Welcome to #NeedleWorkMonday!” 😃 It’s great that you joined us!

I am sorry to hear about how crazy and rough it’s been for you. I know that can be stressful and tough with so much going on all at once.

I am happy you were able to pick up a craft and sail away to a distant land for a moment. It turned out really cute! I love the colors of the cat. That was so sweet to give it to your son. 😊

Thanks for sharing with us this week. Feel free to take process pictures along the way to share them with us because we love seeing a project come to life.

Thanks so much @crosheille! ♥
I will definitely do that next time.

Yes, making things is quite therapeutic. Ill have to make time to do them more often!

Absolutely! 😊

Hi.
If you have had some difficult days so I invite you to have a hot Tea or a Coffee and relax.
I am very happy with the drawing of the dog and your embroidery work you do very well I congratulate you and I hope you continue doing what you like.
Greetings from Venezuela

Thank you very much! ♥

That's a cute little project! I' ve never done cross
stitch, but I embroider from time to time. I don't have any embroidery projects going on right now.

Thanks!! ♥
I havent dont a cross-stitch in years. There are a few mistakes, but overall it came out nice. Ill have to do another one soon!

Hellooo to #needleworkmonday and thank you for sharing. The little cat and her smile are super cute. Do you have made some embroidery before?

I hope this week will be a tad better for you and more relaxed <3

Thanks!! I seem to have come down with my daughter's cold, so this week is going to be fun as well.. .Going to try and get some rest though!

I've never done regular embroidery! It looks so beautiful, but Im not sure where to start. I did a few cross-stitches as a child, and when I had my first son, I made a cross stitch for him, but that's it. It is a pretty fun little craft to do. ♥

It's a lovely cross stitched cat and it has special meaning too @squishysquid :D

Welcome to NeedleworkMonday @squishysquid! Sorry, I took some time to comment and hey, its Monday again! :D
Your cross-stitch is very neat and it is such a sweet gift for your son :)

Trust the cross-stitch helped ease your mind some, and things are looking up 😊

It was therapeutic to stitch, thanks! Yes, battling a cold here, but things are a-okay. ;)

I really love this, my mum used to really enjoy cross stitch and would spend many hours doing the pre-patterned variety so you had a template to work on.

Aww, thanks! They are pretty fun, and if you have a pattern, its pretty simple to do. Maybe someday Ill get time to make my own pattern!
Hard to find time right now though, we're having a super busy summer! :D

Crafting is a meditation. But that idea only came to me when I read your article. You say you have all sorts of stresses going on, but here you are, with your first needlework to present.

Doing the needlework may have provided enough calm just to post. :)

It did, for sure. :)
It is calming to just focus on a craft and not think about things that are worrying and stressing you out.
