String Art Contest Collaboration Winners Announced!!!
Hello everyone! This is the finale of the String Art Contest Collaboration with @needleworkmonday and @steemitmamas! We had 15 wonderful entries to judge and I can tell you that it was not an easy job. The effort and creativity that was put in to these string art projects were very impressive. We were hoping to get more participation in our contests and we were not disappointed at all! We were very excited to see so many join in this round! On top of that many entrants have stated they enjoyed doing this form of art and plan to do more! That’s the beauty of a community sharing together and introducing new and fun ideas :D
The judging of these entries were based on effort, creativity and presentation. We wanted to see creativity in the design, materials used and in the way the String Art was accomplished. The presentation as a whole including the process pictures (and in this case the videos since we had a few of those in our entries), neatness and clarity, explanation of the steps and even back stories of why the particular design was chosen. The effort overall was a very important factor.

Category 1 - Parent/Child Project Entry

This is such a cute design colors and all! @xeliram did a wonderful job showing us the effort of her daughter through photos and video, working the string through the foam. There was good team effort as she guided her through the steps helping her to outline the design. What a great idea to gift this beautiful art as a Mother’s Day gift!
2nd Place - 7 SBI Shares
NeedleWorkMonday & Steemitmamas:: string art contest Boat by @fabianaporteles
The effort in this entry was shown really well through the process photos and video. The teamwork was evident as @fabianaporteles helps her son with the horizontal rows. The curve lines and the multiple colors of threads outlining each unique part of the boat all worked well together!

Seeing the effort of @carolinacardoza’s two sons in the elaboration of this pillow was so inspiring! The creativity of using recycled jeans for the String Art base and making it into a pillow was very clever. The teamwork involved, @carolinacardoza doing the sewing and her children the string art work, was all very impressive. The final product is beautiful and functional and such a wonderful keepsake!

Needleworkmonday- String Art Contest Entry by @jamethiel
Everything about this entry was so loving and previous. @jamethiel gives us background on the yarn she chose for her project. Not only does the yarn from the Meow Collection match the colors of her precious cat Harley but with every skein purchased a donation is sent to a car charity. It’s so cute how she takes a picture of Harley by the yarn and then a final shot by the finished project. The tail design is outstanding and all of the stitches look sharp and uniform! Did you notice the heart in the middle? The final framing at the end looks so great!

NeedleWorkMonday & Steemitmamas:: string art contest Mickey Mouse by @fabianaporteles
This was really a Wow entry! The time and effort spent on filling in each particular element of Mickey, including those small eyes was very astonishing! The process photos of the elaboration was intriguing. The stitching of the String Art is neat and uniform and the result looks wonderful!! Splendid effort!

This creative and original art piece done by @vangie is superlative! From her drawing the art to stringing individual colors to make the scene come to life is stunning! You can’t tell by this production that she hasn’t done stitch work in awhile. We hope to see more of her work shared on #needleworkmonday! Excellent imaginative work!
