NeedleWorkMonday Featured Posts #28
Hello lovely Steemit community! Welcome to @needleworkmonday’s Featured Posts #28! This is a weekly Curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians. Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.
We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration. Please help us keep these wonderful needle arts alive and thriving by supporting our work and community!
This week we had 25 needleworkers sharing their work under the #NeedleWorkMonday tag! A big thanks to you all for coming here week after week to inspire everyone with your handmade art!
Here’s our featured selection...
Irish Crochet Dress: trying it on for the first time by @vliet
We the @needleworkmonday community have been following along beside @vliet for the last 9 months watching this beautiful timeless masterpiece come to life! She started working on this dress 2.5 years ago crocheting every single detail that you see before your eyes. What an inspiring project that exudes patience, passion, determination and dedication. We all have been waiting for this moment of truth...the first try on! Come witness this marvelous milestone!
NeedleworkMonday: Two projects finished - and two on the needles / Zwei fertig, zwei auf den Nadeln [De/Eng] by @muscara
I would call this a week of motivation for @muscara! She shares with us 4 projects, two of which she is working on and two that are completed. Us needlers talk quite a bit about finding the time to get projects completed or even just started. To see completed projects is always an inspiration here in needleworkville. @muscara is best known for her sock flare and it’s become quite contagious as more needleworkers have begun taking up the knitted sock challenge! I love the way she displays her socks!! 😍
Postcards… not paper?! by @thistle-rock
It is really exciting seeing all of the creative ways to use fabrics. @thistle-rock introduces us to fibre postcards! Receiving postcards is already an exciting occasion but to add a handmade touch to them makes it even more exciting! I would be so thrilled receiving an embroidered treat such as this through the mail. These fabric postcards are treasures to keep for a lifetime.
Did you know for every EcoPillow we make, we stop 0.3 pounds of textile waste from getting into the environment by @ecodesigns
The upcycling work done by @ecodesigns is truly inspiring. They are taking textile waste and turning it into items that are affordable, functional and comfortable! These ecopillows are helping to stop textile waste from entering the environment. Their goal is to make 30 pillows a month which contain 10 pounds of textile waste. This is amazing! Check out how soft and comfortable these pillows are.
#needleworkmonday | Top Down Cardigan - Conclusion :) by @shanibeer
Here is another motivational post of a completed project! @shanibeer was inspired by @neumannsalva to try the top down (starting at the collar and working towards the bottom) method of knitting a cardigan. She shares with us some things she has learned along the way, what she loves about it and what she would change. This is one of the splendors of sharing our work every week. For those wanting to try the same projects you have a place to come for tips and advice from those who have already traveled the same road :)
Thank you for stopping by to view our featured posts for this week! Please stop by their posts and show them some love with a read and an upvote for sharing their handmade creations! To see more needle arts please check out the #NeedleWorkMonday tag and check back here with @NeedleWorkMonday every Wednesday for the weekly Resteems and Curation posts!!
If you are a needlework artist we’d love to have you join us every Monday to share your work and inspire this community to give a craft a try!! On Monday’s, please use the #NeedleWorkMonday tag and on other days please use the #needlework tag (without the word Monday attached) so we can find each other’s work. To learn more about what we do please visit our Introduction Post!

This week's needleworkers were:
Some have contributed to the NeedleworkMonday longer than I am on Steem, others have been here for the first time. We all come together each week, from all parts of the world, to display our works and tell why we love our hobby. For some of us it's more than a hobby and that makes the NeedleworkMonday even more fantastic!
25 posts! That's excellent!

All these projects are amazing, but I must admit the
dressartwork of @vliet is unbelievable. So beautiful, so many details, such a thin yarn and so many hours, days of dedicated work. I cannot imagine doing this myself. I am hugely impressed <3 <3 <3Yeah that's true @neumannsalva that's my dream project too, @vliet's dress is Soo Crochetiful!
