Needlework Monday - Featured Posts #2
Hello lovely needleworkers and supporters! Welcome to our featured posts #2 for #NeedleWorkMonday! This is a weekly Curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians! We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration.
Here are our featured posts for this week...
Upcycle project: cargo pants into a shoulder bag by @naomipangolin
There have been quite a few upcycle projects being shared for #needleworkmonday. @naomipangolin shares one of those with us. She took in some tips and ideas from various Steemit friends and figured out a way to repurpose some old cargo pants into a functional bag. Check out how she accomplished this by enjoying some process pictures along with the steps of this upcycle adventure!!
Dress very easy to make. 👗 by @carolinacardoza
This little adorable dress was created with the simple “pillowcase” style in mind. @carolinacardoza shows us how to make one with improvements by using the best fabrics and combinations we can find. You’ll love how she laid out the steps with pictures along the way and also her included video (in Spanish) for more visualization.
Making a bag / pouch aka reincarnating my old pants by @wildwanderer
This is @wildwanderer’s first #NeedleWorkMonday post! She shares with us she was inspired by the initiative to make something! Whooo Hooo!! Mission accomplished! Dusting off her sewing machine and playing some good music she begans an upcycling project on her old elastic pants. She talks about how her husband helps her along the way...that’s right he can sew too!! Come and see the process of this transformation and find out what she decides to use this new bag for!
Crocheting a head ... progress by @cryptocariad
Sometimes us needleworkers like to get ambitious and try making things on our own with no pattern. That’s exactly what @cryptocariad did! She decided to try out a crocheted red squirrel on her own off of ones she had seen in pictures and viewed from other patterns. Join her as she takes a step into her creative zone and read about some of the steps she took to get this started!
✂️✂️ ITS MONDAY ... NEEDLEWORK MONDAY ✂️✂️ by @brittandjosie
I’m sure most of us have had an old pair of jeans that were so worn but we weren’t ready to give them up right? Here in this post @brittandjosie shares a way to patch them up so we wont have to give up on them. She shares with us the steps of how she patched up a pair of her son’s old jeans and made them wearable again. Okay folks go grab your sewing machines and beloved jeans and make them come alive again!
Thank you for stopping by to view our featured posts for this week! Please do stop by their posts and show them some love for sharing their handmade creations! Thank you so much for all of your support! It means a lot that you save up your power to vote for more of these great posts! ☺️
It’s truly a pleasure!
I love to see all these different things we create. For instance even though I'm not a sewer I enjoy seeing the process of it, especially with the upcycling projects.
Yeah, those pants to bag are something I want to go look at.
I especially like the featured pictures that easily let's you see what the project is.
Thank you for your feedback @metzli! I’m glad the featured pictures help :D
I am so glad to hear this! That’s why it is so important for us to show the process of our work! It better inspires and motivates others when they can see it coming to life and they can actually learn how to do a particular craft better with visuals.
Thank you so much for believing in and investing in this community! Your 10.000 SP delegation is greatly appreciated!!! 😃

The honor is ours! We are thankful to have you with us!! 😘

Thanks for supporting! I’m glad you enjoyed the selections!! 😊
Needle Art! Such clever people. Great selection @needleworkmonday, although how do you choose! I particularly love the two upcycles. I've had big plans for a diaper bag from a pair of my husband's jeans. But I've been too chicken to take on such a challenge.....
Thank you for viewing and supporting!
It’s not easy choosing that’s for sure. The posts that include the process of their work with explanation and pictures are more likely to get featured. We will do our best to make it a fair rotation where everyone gets a chance to be featured considered they have kept the guidelines in mind ;D
I hope the upcycle posts have inspired you to give that diaper bag a try!!
Maybe...one day. Probably by then my little boy will be potty trained and the cloth diapers will be waiting for a new baby. But today we had two little orphan lambs that needed jackets (it's still winter in SA). So maybe next week's #needleworkmonday will have a post with a twist
Thank you for searching out these gems <3
All of the post are cute and helpful and motivating. Thank you for sharing (I still would have missed one of them... which I find strange, because I have Ginabot told to mention every #needleworkmonday post...hm)
You’re so welcome! I’m glad you found them motivating!
I already checked out that cute Pillow Case dress by @carolinacardoza, but I will surely be stopping by to see the rest.
Great features!
Awesome!! Thanks for viewing and supporting the other needleworkers as well~ 💗
