Smart Media Tokens - will it be a reality soon?
Steemit's founder @ned announced the concept of new protocol called SMT, which looks revolutionary at its face. But will it be a reality is a true question.
To find the answer to this question we may have to wait till 2018.

I also read about a very interesting fictional story about how these smart media tokens can actually help the publishers to improve their monetization and get the best of the journalists for the paid upvotes.Bravo ! Wonderful
But there is more to it
I am not sure about how it would work really. The whitepaper published on the subject is really interesting but for a layman like me who only understands cryptocurrency as the medium of payments, it is quite too complicated.
I appreciate the spirit of changing internet though.
Secondly, I am worried about the technology integration as a layman. Those who are in publishing are having their sites in wordpress like CMS, there is no clarity about integrating it with such content management systems.
Finally, i am not sure to what extent i would find developers who can help me integrate and what would be they charging me.
Though a good concept, there is a need to wait and watch
