WHERE IS THE INCENTIVE FOR QUALITY POST WHEN THE GULF BETWEEN THE RICH AND THE POOR IS WIDENING EVERYDAY?

HAS STEEMIT LOST ITS MOTIVE?

I will be brief but i will bare my mind. It is so unfortunate that regardless of the amount of time spent to couch and creatively work on a post, such post will still generate poor rewards as the originators are not wont to help us with their upvotes. However, my worry lies in the fact that despite sinew attempt to make sure that a good and quality-filled content is birthed, nobody deem it fit to upvote it. I have no problem with whether they upvote or not but i am only stating a bltant truth. Whales with their steem power will only gaze at your post and take their stride away as you are not from their country or ethnicity. What bemuses me the most is that their steem power will not reduce nor evaporate if they do it but it is just a way of tilting the scale of richness to a few. I know that upvotes are prerogatives of the owners but it will be good to help the minnows. It is heart rending to say the least. Some people might label me as a wailing wailer but I am speaking for a lot of people whose contents are magnificent but ridiculously remunerated for the piece. I am deeply pained but there is nothing we can seemingly do. I write poem virtually everyday but make 0.01 or 0.02. It is a pity but what can we do.

I know of someone who made 10 dollars in 46 seconds (yes, you read that correctly) but what does he do when you even comment on his post, he gives a meagre 0.02. That is how despicable it is but we have to bear and grin. Those who are delegated steempower use it for friends and families and the vicious cycle remain the same. The enrich themselves but we remain at their becks and calls and they might be negotiating for half of your reward when it pays out. CAn you see that it is barbaric? The only person i know that is worthy of all good things of life on this platform because of his unstinting genorousity is @surpassinggoogle. That is a real man and i mean it in the real sense of it. He doesnt care if you white or black, he upvotes quality but it is painful how some people do not even care. I think something can be done to stop this tide. The rich are getting richer while the minnows are preys to be pecked on. I am not wailing but this platform is losing its value. The popularity of this platform and the cryptocurrency it purports is at the apogee of our hearts but how can we stem the tide? That is a million dollar question.

1. Because of the number of people on the platform, it might be very unwieldy to comb the whole internet for quality contents based on personal determination, but i believe delegation of power to people of high credentials and personality esteem can be used to awaken the spirit of people as they strive to run through the labyrinth of life. Life is not hard but we make it hard for ourselves. I know of people who will organize seminars, record the videos and post it on D.tube just to rake in money. That is hustling they will say. But those who they have convinced to join are left rudderless. You hear, just google it and you will understand it.

2. A close tab can be kept on people given the power and in cases of misuse of it, they should be stripped of it. There are people here in Nigeria who do not care about you unless you are their allies. Because of their steem power, they become demigod. @ewuoso is one of those who is so proud and non-receptive to people regardless of how much you tried even if not for the upvote but an attempt to ask questions to make headway on the platform. But, when it comes to an attempt to win favour from people, he starts grovelling like a dog with ravenous stomach all for personal interest. All man for himself is the nature of some of the curators and it is a pity that they forget so soon where they are coming from.

Quality content writers feel the frustration but what can we do but bare our minds in ways we know you can listen. Instead of whales helping the minnows, they eat them up or trample upon them as long as they are not their family members. Equity we sought and we hope to get it. Lift people up and you will be risen as well. No reduction in esteem but a hand you help in reaching their goals so as to help others too.
