It's not often you get a sense of stillness at Athabasca falls. This shot was taken last spring looking through the canyon downstream of the falls. The shoulder seasons are nice in places like Athabasca so one can experience them without the crowds. People fall into this canyon almost every year and most don't live to tell the tale. Athabasca Falls, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

That color is stunning - wow!
Thanks !
WOW!! And you're homesick why?? ; )
lol. If you had just spent 5 months living though a Northern BC winter (down to -35deg C ) you might understand. We need computer monitors which transmit the temperature to get the real experience. Perhaps just stick your hand onto the cooling element in your freezer (which is probably -20 C) for 60 seconds so you can feel the burn while your looking at my shots. ;-)
WOW, minus 35!!!! That's insane!!! Yeah okay... but your shots are so beautiful!!!
Yes its cold; but your perspective changes so its not as cold as it seems.
I don't do well in the cold... so I'm not so sure I can believe that, lol : )
"I don't do well in the cold" is just a state of mind.
Congratulations on being a winner in the Water Wednesday Nature Photo Contest Week 5! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST.
Crystal clear waters of lake Nedre Heimredalsvatnet in panoramic view. The lake is situated by the sea shore and surrounded from one side with high mountains near the fishing village Eggum in Lofoten Islands, northern part of Norway. It was summer time and my only dream was to go diving in this waters...

Two weeks ago it was so cold that you had the feeling you could watch the water freeze. I took the photo Romanshorn at Lake Constance.

This is a photograph of the surface of Marlette Lake in the Tahoe area. Aspen trees were reflected on the surface, giving what I feel is a dreamy painterly look to the shot.

An artwork of litter on an otherwise pretty remote beach, devoid of any human signs. I got pretty upset after seeing this, reminding me that wherever you go, you will still see signs of human arrogance.
(I may have been a little bit explicit in my post - just try to ignore it when you click the image ;) )
