My Bike Ride Through a Marsh

Good afternoon, Steemians!

I took a lot of pictures during my bike ride to the marsh today, so I wanted to share them with you guys. Most of the grass is brown and hibernating because it’s winter. We just had our last “cold” day for a while. It reached 33 degrees F the other day! That’s cold for southern Florida.

I know there were too many pictures, but it’s hard for me to choose between them. This place is one of the closest places I can go to “get away” and think. Do you guys have a place like that? Tell me about it below!

Stunning photos @vegansilverstack! Your "office" looks amazing :) There's nothing better than going for a bike ride to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! I take my kids for rides all the time, we're lucky in the area we live as it's surrounded by bushland and beautiful views perfect to easily get away from it all!

I'd just post all the pictures like that too! This bike path looks really cool. I always love paths that seem really removed from normal everyday people and what not. The marsh path by my house is way too populated.

So do I, and I really miss the 200,000 acre 'getaway' that was 10 minutes from my house in northern Illinois. I visit it every time I return. :)

Oh weird, I'm actually from northern Illinois. I lived in the city for awhile then close suburbs to the city now I live near central Illinois for school.

U of I? I lived in McHenry County.

I always lived in Cook. And ISU actually.

Looks like a very peaceful place!

Wow that's awesome!

It does look like broccoli lol nice "office" - even though it was cool out, it looks a heck of a lot warmer than here in MOntreal, Canada lol I hate winter, taking a little vacation by checking out nature pics from warmer places lol Followed you :)

Yeah I won't ever live full-time in cold climates again. Lived 24 years of my life in northern Illinois so I'm loving being able to get outside almost every day of the year and actually do stuff!

I totally hear that, I lived in Costa Rica for 5 years, I hope to at least start spending winters there again, and eventually to move back. I fell in love with the culture, the food, the rainforest, the beaches, the volcanos etc.. It really does make a difference being able to get out all year, even simple things like a walk to the corner store suck in winter lol

Or riding a bike. I speak Spanish and I've wanted to visit CR for some time. If it's anything like Panama I think I'll like it.

CR is amazing, I liked it better than Panama, but I also got robbed in Panama, and had to deal with some Panamanian border guards that refused to let me cross the border without showing a plane ticket back to Canada - even though I lived in Costa Rica, and was married to a Costa Rican, so that tainted my experience a bit having to put an unexpected $900 on my credit card at the border to go on our vacation we'd booked lol

Jeez that would taint my view on a place too. Sorry about that.

I'd even been to Panama before, I knew it wasn't required. I had my ticket back to San Jose and my paperwork to prove my residency in CR was in progress... But this guy decided he didn't like gringos or he was jealous my wife was hot or something, and wouldn't budge until I bought a plane ticket from Panama to Canada...

Egos.

Nice open space. I like your office. Do you have a good internet connection over there? Concerning picture flooding I got used to the habit of rigorously deleting pictures already when I download them on my computer.

Yeah I use my phone sometimes sitting on that bench. :)

interesting post. awesome clicks. thanks alot for sharing this with us.

good pic thnaks for sharing with us

Just a stroll in the marsh?
