Steep Cones
Last weekend went to a beautiful place with a strange name. "Steep Cones." The name is impressive. The fact is that in Russian the word "shishka" means both a spruce cone, and a small mountain, and a bump on the forehead, and a high-ranking person. Therefore the name of this place causes a smile. I do not know if you understand me, but I will continue.
See those rock pimples on that side of the horizon? This is "steep cones".
In fact, we were a little mistaken in the whereabouts of these very "cones". Nobody knew how they really looked. And in Perevolotsky district, where we went, there are a lot of such slides. At any one can stand up and say that you're on the hill no less steep. Here and in our case, we arrived at the foot of quite a steep hill and thought that it was here that it is the coolest hill here. Then we looked around and realized that once there is a plural in the name, then there should be several such slides next to each other. And such were one and a half kilometers from us. But we did not want to go there, because the view was no less beautiful from our hill.
Here is what the Internet writes about the nature monument "Steep Cones":
"The tract covers three asymmetric hills forming the ridge along the right bank of the Grebensky ravine, the hills, like the whole neighborhood, are composed of red-colored terrigenous rocks of the lower Triassic, but the shape of the hills is not at all connected with lithology and the stratification of the Triassic rocks." Apparently, the origin of the chain of hills is associated with features Eocene sediments in the past, the remains of Eocene rocks in the form of blocks of perforated quartzites and placers of quartz pebbles were preserved on the surface of the hills. "
All at once it becomes clear.
When I enjoyed the breadth of the Orenburg expanses, I decided to find some photogenic flora, and if lucky, the fauna. I found both, and a little bit of the other.
Immediately two and a half anthill. And all the acting. I tried to remember childhood and get formic acid, but something went wrong. The ants somehow did not hurry to share. And in my childhood I did it quite well.
Ants farm.
Are primates fauna too?
How many ladybirds are there on this bush? You'll never guess. How much would you not count, there are still much more. This bush is either a hostel of ladybirds, or a maternity hospital. Between their branches there is a lot.
But this is what no one could tell me. Pebbles are heavy and "rusty". There are experts?
Sometimes you do not have to go far to get a break from everyday work and city bustle.
