Day 140

It's a good thing I did call up the local shop today as, according to the owner, the lady I had spoken to had actually written down that I was looking to buy frogs rather than sell them. Fortunately, I got. In touch with the owner before he ordered any, saving him, myself, and I'm sure especially the lady a fair deal of grief.

After discussing prices, we decided agreement was not going to work out as the wholesaler I know is willing to give me a better offer. Apparently they buy from a wholesaler in Florida, though considering that wholesaler also makes claims of selling them "ethically" dyed frogs, I don't really want to imagine the conditions those poor frogs are bred and reared in.

I'm still in the process of trying to raise the general hardness of the 10 gallon tadpole tank to match the 20 gallon tank in order to let me transfer the remaining froglets to the froglet section. The carbonate hardness of the tadpole water is 161 ppm and the general hardness is 179 ppm. I want to raise the general water hardness to around 210 ppm in the 10 gallon tank before I try moving the froglets.

Current Totals:

10 - 10 gallon (Tadpole Tank)
32 - 20 gallon (Frog Tank) [7 froglet, 25 juvenile]
