Day 139

I've reduced the amount of tadpole suspension I've been feeding the tadpoles in the 10 gallon tank to 1ml each day since the last two froglets were moved over to the 20 gallon tank. I'll be keeping the amount steady until we're down to at least 5 tadpoles. Among the 10 current occupants of the tank there are currently 2 froglets that will be ready to transfer as soon as the general hardness of the two tanks are balanced, 2 tadpoles with back legs that will begin developing their front arms within the next two weeks, and 4 tadpoles that have yet to develop any additional limbs at this point. This means that the 1ml of tadpole suspension being fed leaves about 0.125 ml of tadpole suspension for each of the tadpoles to eat.

Tiny laid a another small clutch of eggs yesterday, hopefully this will be the last for a while but who knows, the clutches seem to be becoming both more sporadic and smaller as time has gone on. Additionally, I've seen both Tiny and Scout eating the eggs fairly quickly, they make for quite the efficient little cleanup crew. They don't do too well cleaning up the eggs that are at the top of the tank, however, the bottom is nearly spotless. I'll most likely wait until the next tank cleaning on Sunday before I go about removing any of the few remaining eggs in the main aquarium, though I may remove them early if they start to show any signs of fungal growth in the meantime. I'll be calling up the pet store tomorrow to see if they're interested in any of the frogs, if not, I'll just call up the wholesaler and bring the current group of 25 frogs to them like I did for the initial 35 frogs on day 101.
