THE WONDERTREE
This massive 1000 year old wild fig tree was discovered by the Voortrekkers in 1836 who also named the tree the "Wonderboom". Legend has it that an ancient Chief was buried beneath the tree and that is why the tree grew so big.
It was declared a National monument on 23 September 1988 and is situated in Pretoria South Africa
