Let's Save The Earth Before It's Too Late

With the constant development in today's world, building new infrastructure here and there to accomodate the ever soaring population of the world and to cater the needs of billions of people, Mother Earth suffers a considerable amount of damage. Yes, the progress is inevitable in mankind but do we really need to advance forsaking the one thing that give us life in the first place? Will it be worth it?

Cutting trees is unavoidable yes that is a given, we need trees to build houses, to make papers and such, and to give ways to infrastructure necessary for a more modern society. But for every trees cut, a new one should be born somewhere to replace what was lost. Isn't that necessary to keep the equilibrium of life? Keep things balance? If we keep cutting trees without replacing them then what will happen to the ecosystem?

Not just us humans will suffer the consequences but the other life forms as well. The animals who took shelter from those trees will be homeless. Humans depends on animals and trees and other plants for food. We can't survive without the other. We all can agree that no life can survive without the natural environment that even from the very start did nothing but to provide us shelter and food. And what do we give in return?

Some people even have the nerve to just throw their garbage anywhere even in the bodies of water. What are they thinking? Isn't that part of our early education? Respect the environment. Even a first grader knows better than throwing a garbage anywhere. We, humans, expect the nature to keep providing us food and shelter yet we didn't even give a bit of respect to it? Then comes the flood and other calamities and who do we blame? Plastics will remain where they are for as long as they can, that the person throwing it has been long dead yet it still remain intact. Imagine what will happen if every single person on earth throws even one single plastic? Let's start recycling. Make a DIY projects out of plastics. So many tutorials available over the internet, find one. If you're not interested or have no time then donate it to those who can. Simple as that.

In years to come, if we failed to save the one place that we called home then time will come that the next generation will be doomed. Are we going to let that happen?

Let's start now! In our own little ways, let's help make the world become a better place to live in. Let's start in our own community. Lend a hand in cleaning the coastal areas. Tag your friends and family and make the experience enjoyable.

Volunteer in mangrove planting. Mangrove plays an important role in the coastal ecosystem. Besides the fact that it acts as the first line of defense for coastal communities, mangrove is home to a variety of species from birds to fishes and other water creatures.

Mangroves also plays an essential role in maintaining the quality of the water. They filter and trap sediments and other pollutants which can otherwise cause damage to the coral reefs and other sensitive habitat. Mangroves is also vital in fighting climate change as it collects carbon in the air up to five times better than mature tropical forests.

In the picture below, the erosion might not happen if mangroves were planted in the area. Mangroves helps stabilize shorelines and protect the community from flood, storm surge and hurricanes.

Let's contribute in our own little ways. We can't reach a mile if we don't take a little steps at a time. We can make big things happen. Let's start with ourselves.

"In our own little ways, let's help make the world become a better place to live in." Agreed. There is way too much pollution in most coastal areas. It seems you're participating quite actively in cleanup and that's commendable.

Thanks! It's the least I can do for the future generation.
