First Snow
It came in the night...
The vines on the fence are one of my favourite subjects for when we get what I call a "romantic" snowfall. It must be cold but still humid for the snow to gently waft down in big flakes, settling on everything. And it's so photogenic.
These photos are in colour. Could you tell? Our golds of autumn morph into grey and then change to blue for February.
I have lived here long enough that the little pine tree I planted is no longer little. It towers over me now and I no longer have to rush outside and brush the snow off of it.
It really wasn't much snow and it has already melted off the street. I can't predict whether it's staying since we're expecting warmer weather on Sunday.
This is the magnolia tree.
A bud on a different vine. Even though winter is just starting, this vine knows there will be a spring and it's ready. I'm tempted to name the photo "Hope."

ut oh, pretty but bleak..
It's a pretty quick change from something so gold to grey.
