Trees And Light
Nymans GardensTrees
This weekend we took our grandchildren to a another local National Trust property which I wrote about in my Nymans Gardens Flowers post.
The eldest one needed some autumnal things for a school project so we had great fun collecting nuts, berries, leaves and fruits.
This is my favourite photograph from the day.
Sun Through Autumn Leaves

We were there fairly late in the afternoon so the light and shadows were particularly beautiful.
Sun On Bamboo
I was surprised when I got home, that I had taken so few photographs, but my camera kept giving me warnings about being full.
I really need to back them up and delete them.
I hope you enjoyed these 2 anyway. 😁
This is my post for @old-guy-photos Tree Tuesday initiative. I hope you enjoyed it! 😁

The first photo, your favourite it's great, I like it a lot. Light, shade ... the colors! I like bamboo.
Thank you @bluemoon. It turned out well didn't it. 😁
Thanks for stopping by.
With pleasure!
It looks as if you're getting some nice color change over there, too. Is that a stump to the left of the tree?
Good question @fotosdenada. I don't think it is since it's so evenly shaped.
I didn't notice it as I was so focused on the light streaming through the trees. Next time I visit I'll try and remember to go back and see exactly what it is.
It looks like a mini gravestone! 😂
Amazing precious first shot Gillian, congrats!!
Hugs
Thanks @drakernoise. Hope all is well with you. 😁
I'm fine Gillian apart from my increasing hate to the Android keyboard autocomplete function that keeps trying to put the words in spanish 😂
Good to hear I'm fine Gillian
That's a new one. 😂
Hahaha you made me smile, thank you!!
I can almost feel the warmth of the sun in that first image! Just beautiful. I hope you manage to back up and format that camera card before your next photo session!
It's not a camera card. It's my phone that got filled up. I don't have a camera. 😊
I did download all the photographs from it this afternoon though but I was a little disappointed in how little space it created.
I'll be alright for a while anyway.
Thanks for visiting and for leaving a comment. 😊
Oh, my bad! Could it be too many phone apps taking up your storage? Worth having a look at that perhaps. I just downloaded/backed up 5,000+ photos off my phone today... boy did that take some time to copy!
Nah. I've removed all the superfluous apps too @gardeningchef. I suspect its images backed up in folders that I can't find. They seem to get duplicated all over the place. So, although I've removed them from DCIM and the obvious whatsapp ones there are probably still back ups hiding somewhere.
I'll see if I can get my son to look for me.
it is getting a bit ridiculous isn't it. I have backed up photos all over the place that I will probably never look at again. 😱
So glorious. I love this time of year. Thanks for posting this @gillianpearce
you are wecome @robertandrew. Thank you for visiting. 😊
These are beautiful, Gillian. Such a wonderful reason to get to this great place! I love collecting things from nature, I can imagine myself doing that with my grandchildren one day!
Yes. It really was lovely there and hunting around for "treasures" with the little ones made it extra special.
I like that we get to do stuff with them that we wouldn't normally do. 😁
Yes, my dear, I used to do it with my kids... seems like yesterday, but it was long ago... 😍
