Hola amigos del #AgroContest! luego de varios meses de cuidados a nuestras plantas llego el momento de publicar la 3ra entrega. Ante todo aprovecho para saludar a los jurados y patrocinantes de este excelente concurso, @critic-on @galberto y @antoniomontilva. Esta entrega es muy emocionante pues poco a poco fueron desarrollandose las plantas hasta obtener el tamaño ideal, luego aparecieron los primeros botones florales, unos días después estos aperturaron y días mas tarde se empezaron a ver los primeros frutos que aun están en desarrollo.

Pero antes de iniciar la exposición de fotos, quiero dejar el link de las entradas anteriores, para que aquellos amigos que ven mi publicación del concurso por primera vez pueda llevar un seguimiento del trabajo que eh venido desarrollando. Abajo están los link del 1er y 2do ciclo.

Ahora hablemos de la 3ra Entrega o el Ciclo #3/ Now let's talk about the 3rd Delivery or Cycle # 3

Para empezar les muestro el estado de las dos plantas hace varios meses, con 4 y 5 pares de hojas, hasta este momento solo había aplicado el riego diario y cada 7 días un poco de hummus liquido de lombriz asperjado a las hojas. / To start I show the state of the two plants several months ago, with 4 and 5 pairs of leaves, until now I had only applied the daily watering and every 7 days a little earthworm hummus sprinkled on the leaves.

En este punto quise aplicar tutores a las plantas, pues se que en cualquier momentos estas plantas tendrían el máximo desarrollo foliar y la floración, es conocido que el tallo de las plantas de pimentón son algo frágiles, por lo que al momento del llenado de frutos tienden a caer por causa del peso. / At this point I wanted to apply tutors to the plants, because I know that at any time these plants would have maximum leaf development and flowering, it is known that the stem of the paprika plants are somewhat fragile, so when filling fruits They tend to fall because of weight.

Para realizar el tutorado utilice materiales de reciclaje. / To use the tutorate, use recycling materials.

Terminando de hacer el anclaje en cada planta de pimenton. / Finishing the anchoring in each paprika plant.

Luego aplique abono foliar a base de Hummus de lombriz que produzco en casa, mas abajo les muestro una fotografia de mi lombricultivo casero. / Then apply foliar fertilizer based on earthworm Humus that I produce at home, below I show you a picture of my home grown worm.

Aquí las planticas de pimentón abonadas y ancladas, ahora a esperar que siga su crecimiento normal. / Here the paprika plants fertilized and anchored, now to expect it to continue its normal growth.

Como te comente en publicaciones pasadas, soy practicante de la agricultura ecológica o Agroecología, por lo que todo lo que uso en mis cultivos es orgánico o amigable con el medio ambiente, en mi casa tengo mis aliadas para producir abono, estas son las lombrices californianas, que me surten de hummus liquido para asperjar en el follaje de mis plantas y el hummus solido que aplico al sustrato. / As I commented in past publications, I am a practitioner of organic farming or Agroecology, so that everything I use in my crops is organic or friendly with the environment, in my house I have my allies to produce compost, these are the California earthworms , that they provide me with hummus liquid to sprinkle on the foliage of my plants and the solid hummus that I apply to the substrate.

También estaré aplicando este abono liquido orgánico a base de cenizas el cual provee a la planta de potasio (k), nutriente indispensable para el llenado y crecimiento de frutos. / I will also be applying this organic liquid fertilizer based on ash which provides the potassium plant (k), an essential nutrient for the filling and growth of fruits.

Te presento a mis mascotas ecológicas, las lombrices californianas, su hummus solido lo aplico en el sustrato y provee a las plantas todos los macro y micro nutrientes necesarios para vivir, ciertamente me han servido de mucho, hasta estoy pensando reproducirlas a gran escala para comercializar sus derivados, pero eso es otro tema. / I present to you my ecological pets, the California earthworms, their hummus solido I apply it in the substrate and it provides the plants with all the macro and micro nutrients necessary to live, they have certainly served me a lot, I am even thinking of reproducing them on a large scale to commercialize its derivatives, but that's another issue.

También, hice una aplicación cada 15 días al follaje de la Beauveria bassiana, este hongo entomopatogeno me ayuda a mantener bajo control los insectos en el huerto, todo de forma ecológica y sin usar venenos químicos. También es el momento de recordar que al momento de la preparación del sustrato de estas plantas de pimentón utilice otro hongo benéfico llamado Trichoderma harzianum y microorganismos eficientes, el cual ayudan a desinfectar el sustrato y sirve de estimulante de crecimiento, entre tantas cualidades benéficas. / Also, I made an application every 15 days to the foliage of the Beauveria bassiana, this entomopathogenic fungus helps me keep the insects in the garden under control, all in an ecological way and without using chemical poisons. Empezo la floracion! / The flowering started!

Es emocionante que luego de tantos cuidados puedas ver los primeros botones florales creciendo, esta es una etapa muy critica pues si cae la flor no tendremos frutos. / It is exciting that after so many care you can see the first flower buds growing, this is a very critical stage because if the flower falls we will not have fruits.

Unos días después abren todas o casi todos los botones florales, ciertamente estaba muy feliz ese dia. / A few days later they open all or almost all the floral buttons, I was certainly very happy that day.

Aquí ya se podía ver que la fecundación de las flores fue un éxito, esto solo indicaba una cosa, tendríamos pimentones para el agrocontest! / Here you could see that the fertilization of the flowers was a success, this only indicated one thing, we would have peppers for the agrocontest!

Llenado de frutos! / Filled with fruits!

Días mas tarde ya se empezaba a diferenciar el pequeño fruto, creo que de todo el proceso esta es la etapa que llena de satisfacción pues para esto has estado trabajando desde hace meses, aquí empiezas a ver los resultados. / A few days later, the small fruit began to be differentiated, I think that this is the stage that full of satisfaction, because for this you have been working for months, here you start to see the results.

Algo que me llamo la atención es que a pesar de provenir del mismo paquete de semillas una planta dio un fruto diferente al de la otra planta, esperaba pimentones cuadrados o de cuatro puntas como aparece en la imagen del paquete de semillas, pero una planta me dio un pimentón alargado muy parecido a un chíle picante. Esperare a que termine su crecimiento y madure, luego comparare los sabores en la cuarta entrega del concurso. / Something that caught my attention is that despite coming from the same package of seeds one plant gave a different fruit to the other plant, I was expecting square or four-pointed peppers as it appears in the image of the seed packet, but a plant He gave an elongated paprika very similar to a hot pepper. Estas son las ultimas fotografías capturadas de mi cultivo, algo que me di cuenta es que tenia un gusano comiendo las hojas de mis plantas, pero no fue necesario aplicar algún controlador ya que fue eliminado por mis manos, jejeje. En caso de aparecer otro ataque de gusanos no dudare en asperjar Basilus turigensi (Bt) sobre el cultivo, este bío controlador es muy eficaz en el control de gusanos que comen las hojas de tus plantas. / These are the last photographs taken of my crop, something I noticed is that I had a worm eating the leaves of my plants, but it was not necessary to apply some controller since it was removed by my hands, hehehe. In case another worm attack appears I will not hesitate to sprinkle Basilus turigensi (Bt) on the crop, this bio controller is very effective in controlling worms that eat the leaves of your plants.

Para finalizar esta tercera entrega dejo este pequeño video que grabe en mi balcón, hay muchas personas que se limitan al momento de empezar su huerto, ya sea por el espacio disponible u otros factores, pero la verdadera limitación esta en la mente de cada persona, en este pequeño espacio tengo mis plantas ornamentales, medicinales, de condimento, bonsais y hasta una colmena de abejas africanizadas muy mansas, si no me crees te invito a ver el video.
