I hope all had a great weekend. Here has been since Friday to rain and a lot of wind, on the one hand is good because it had not rained for a long time, we were coming to a severe drought, but on the other hand this rain is due to a storm that is passing in Portugal . Because of this storm yesterday we were without light, that is, without internet for a few hours.

Espero que tenham tido um excelente fim de semana. Aqui tem estado desde sexta feira a chover e imenso vento, por um lado é bom pois já não chovia há mesmo muito tempo, estavamos a chegar a uma seca severa, mas por outro esta chuva é devida a uma tempestade que está a passar em Portugal. Por causa desta tempestade ontem ficamos sem luz, ou seja, sem internet durante algumas horas. Hoje já temos luz outra vez, finalmente.

Today everything is calmer, we finally have light and I have already been able to go for a walk through the Serra do Alvão. It has not been there since the height of the fires ... And it is so good to get there and see that there is still a lot of afforestation. The water already runs in the rivers ... and there is already water in the dam ... a while ago there was very little water there, never this had happened before, because city of Vila Real is usually very raining.

Hoje á está tudo mais calmo, já temos luz finalmente e já consegui ir dar uma volta pela Serra do Alvão. Já não ia lá desde a altura dos incêndios... E é tão bom chegar lá e ver que ainda há muita florestação. A água já corre nos rios... e já há água na barragem.. há uns tempos atrás havia lá pouquissima água, nunca tal tinha acontecido antes, pois a cidade de Vila Real costuma ser muito chovosa.

I wish I could say that this is just a bad phase but unfortunately it is not, it's just the beginning of a major change in our environment and temperature. Will we be prepared for what is coming?

Beautiful pictures of your area. We also had a very rainy season this year and now we are going to have a week with a lot of snow and real cold temperatures. Glad you got your power back so quickly, it is hard without that for sure.
I do hope that you ar]nd your family are safe and normalcy has been restored. The photos are good but the story behind is bleak. Take care of yourself , @crissimoes
