A True African Stop Street
While out driving on the main road in the Kruger National Park, we came across a road block of a different nature. It is a pride of young lions who decided to stop the traffic, and as you can see they caused quite a bit of a traffic jam. The young inquisitive cubs were just blissfully strolling along with not a care in the world, even lying down in the middle of the road to take a rest from time to time.
Not that I am complaining at all, it was the perfect opportunity to get some lovely shots of these big cats up close while in the safety of the car. Every now and then one would walk right up to the car and look you straight in the eye and despite the car serving as a barrier between me and these young lions, I have to admit that it was still quite intimidating to be so close to them.
This is a recycled post, you already posted these exact things a year ago.

It is in a way - I also added a back-line story - which the initial post did not have as well as added unpublished photos taken on the same time. Also I used this to test out the new scrolling function for photo posts, so yes some of the photos that you can see in the above post were posted before in the post that you mentioned - thank you for sharing the link - Much Love!

We were in Mabalingwe this last weekend and I was so sad to see how dry it is in Bela Bela at the moment. They say they haven't had decent rain in 2years :(
My hubby and I decided that we will visit the Kruger next year. He has never been and I haven't been in 6 years.
I love these chance encounters with the animal kingdom that just leave you speechless. Great photos and I hope you stay so lucky!!
Wow I wish to get this kind of experience one day. Viewing pride of lions at very close range will really be fun.
