Whose life matters?
I am really getting sick of seeing Black Lives Matter, White Lives Matter, Native Americans Matter, People with Disabilities Matter and on it goes. Each and every person was fearfully and wonderfully made according to Psalm 139 by the God who created each one of us. Can we get on the same page? Lives matter! It does not matter what color, race, religion, able bodied, physically or mentally disability- if you are a human being-you MATTER! If you are being formed in your Mama's womb, if you are 3 or 20 or 50 or 90 your life matters.
Your ordinary life is just one decision away from being great, you may be the next great singer, the next politician who changes history, the next Dad who coaches basketball for 30 years, the next Doctor who breaks the cure for a deadly disease, the Mom who loves 23 Foster Kids...you matter...you can change the world! One step at a time together we can refuse to hate, refuse to mob, refuse to riot, refuse to put down another person. Our country fought for Freedom of Choice-please choose to care, choose that each person Matters!
I agree 100%. As long as we continue to identify ourselves as a group other than as a human we immediately group up. There is a name for that. It is called segregation. We look for people with differences and we belittle, attack, etc. If there are not different races then they'll find some other thing to target. This bigotry is a problem. If we want to end racism then we need to stop referring to each other by race. In fact race shouldn't be on any applications. Why does it need to be there? If race needs to be there that means there must be some kind of special consideration related to race. In other words, someone is getting special treatment. You either want equality or you want special treatment, you cannot have both of those things they are mutually exclusive.
