This is my Entry for "My Name is What? A Writing Contest by @steemitachievers"

Hi everyone! I was nominated by @shirleynpenalosa to join this writing contest about names as authored by @steemitachievers. Nomination accepted with gratitude

My full name is Jane Abenojar Purugganan, so obviously my steemit user name @jap60 comes from my initials and the #60 is a favorite and significant number. Lest I forget that JAP is also an acronym for Joy And Peace! Exactly why it is in the last part of my every post.

If given the chance, I would still choose to have JANE for my name. It's short and easy to remember. But for those who find my name hard to remember, I always tell them jokingly to just remember the popular man from the jungle called Tarzan whose wife's name is Jane.

My family name, Purugganan is quite long so I think that I'm fine with a one syllable short name-Jane. However I've been wondering why all my six siblings have at least three syllable names and I only have one. Anyway I love my name however short it is and though there is really nothing significant about it because Jane only stands for 'a woman' so woman is Jane and Jane is a woman. But wait, there is more to my short name than you think because the essence of a woman is soulful beauty. Beauty is an essence that dwells in every woman. It was given to her by God. And since my name is Jane which stands for a woman, therefore beauty also dwells in me. If you don't agree on this, fine. But
surely you would agree that God is nothing if not beautiful.
