My California - Back to Mammoth
For this weeks Show Us Your California contest by @socalsteemit I'm going to share some photos from another awesome ski/snowboard trip to
Mammoth Mountain!!
So in a previous Show Us Your California entry I told you all about Mammoth mountain resort. If you missed it be sure to check it out here! Usually I only get to make a trip to Mammoth once a year, but this year I got a season pass and I was lucky to be able to go back again!! My mom(@doverland), my two uncles, and my cousin all showed up on this trip. We had great snow and great weather which of course made it a really great trip!

Derek I am jealous it looks great and those beautiful mountains wow I have to travel 3 countries for skiing
They are definitely some beautiful mountains that's for sure! I love the Sierra Nevada mountains. I have a few ski resorts that are more local and are only an hour or so drive, but to go to a spectacular resort like Mammoth I have to drive over 5 hours. So it's not super close, but also not too far. And my season pass works at both Mammoth and the local resorts!!
Well derek you convinced me Mammoth is on the wish list it looks so WOW and it’s higher than in Austria where we go I think
It's the highest ski resort in California with a summit height of 11,059 ft (3,371 m)!

I hate to burst your bubble, but the founder of Mammoth was named Dave... sorry... lol! Speaking of this area... I'm not sure if I already told you, but last september I was up in the Sierra Nevada doing some backpacking and climbing peaks and in between trips I spent a few days at that Little Hot Creek spot I had saw you go to when you were out here. I had never been there before. That shit is legit! I met a bunch of really cool peeps while chillin' out there.
Yeah that hot springs is the shit... so many cool MF out there.. I can't wait to go back

That does look like beautiful weather! I can almost feel that crisp mountain air if I close my eyes. Though it is always funny to me to look at pictures of snow when it is starting to feel just about like summer here already. My boyfriend just came in from the garden and is already getting attacked by mosquitoes!
It's starting to really warm up here too, but luckily there is still lots of snow out there!
