Succulents: Show Us Your California

A few years ago, I had never heard the word succulents before. And even after I did hear the word, I really didn’t know what they were for a while, but here in California, succulent plants have really taken off.

Succulents come in many different shapes, sizes and colors - the varieties are great! The are drought resistant, which is why they have become so popular. Many people have started putting rocks and succulents in their front yard over grass, as watering restrictions during drought times have made it hard to maintain a decent grass yard.

They also make great decorations - here are three succulents hanging in the window sill by our kitchen sink:

Pretty cool looking if you ask me! I can see why they are gaining in popularity!
