Hiking - Show Us Your California

Hi friends,

This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @socalsteemit.

My son Jacob and I, along with my brother in law, went on a hike so I thought I would share some about it to show you my California.

The hike was a small mountain in the high desert (approx 2 hours from Los Angeles) named Bell Mountain. It only took us about an hour and half to get to the top, take some pictures, and then come back down, which was the perfect length for Jacob. Here are some pics:

We had never been on this hike and started from the north side of the mountain - turns out the common route is from the south side as the north side was quite steep and treacherous. Jacob did great though and we all had a lot of fun.
