This is a post about #my2018 for the #blocktradescontest published by @anomadsoul.

So how was my year 2018?

First of all it was the 1st year for me blogging. Since I started in December 2017, I published articles here all the time. In the beginning I didn't think that I would be posting so much content, but the community motivated me to sit down and write to take part in a contest like this or share the news of a #meetup.

I took part in many community gatherings this year of #steemit-austria, @steem-munich and last but not least the @SteemFest. I don't regret that I went to these meetups, on the contrary I met so much awesome people. That motivated me to continue exploring the steem world further.

Even when the prices fall, I don't care about the numbers. But I care about the people I met and the projects I support. This year I brought also my organisation @opt2o, the @globalschool as well as the @silkroad40 storytelling on the blockchain.

The @globalschool is supporting steem education and blockchain awareness. At #SteemFest I held a presentation about the project with @mammasitta and @gexi. You are invited to join us next year to work with us within a collaborative camp, like the winter camp we will launch in the middle of January.

More achievements for me this year were:

• to become self employed as a communications strategist
• to work with and mentor a lot of students
• to host a lot of guests at Hug Inn Vienna
• to bring influencers on the blockchain
• to become a #SteemFest speaker
• to become @fundition ambassador

For sure I also had some failures this year. For example I don't work with #Airbnb anymore. The last five years I did a lot for the platform and the community but now it's over. Partly I am sad about this, because I was a Superhost since the beginning, had almost 250 reviews and 93% 5 Star ratings and hosted more than 500 guests from over 50 countries. This reputation you cannot build fast. They blocked my account from one day to another and I even don't know why. Anyway I accept also steem and can still rent out our guest rooms legally in Vienna. I have some regulars who come back, but you are also invited to visit us here.

The other failure was our first @fundition campaign with the @globalschool against FGM. We didn't reach the funding goal and made the campaign last minute. @jnmarteau just remembered me that @gexi published it 10 minutes before the lotus charity event started. We had so much stress in the beginning of September. Where we had minimum 12 students in the same time to manage while helping @ionart and @artcanhelp to organise themselves.

So as you know there are always ups and downs. In total this year was really successful in my perspective. So I hope that I learned from my mistakes this year to achieve even more next year with all of you!
