Wind Rose - Folk/Power Metal from Italy

Hello Steemians,

need some power for the Monday? These guys from Italy will bring you up this morning! Powerful riffs and melodies, deep awesome singing and Italian guys dressed like Nordic dwarfs - give it a listen!

To Erebor from the latest album Stonehymn (2017)

Wind Rose was founded in Pisa, Italy in 2009. However you will call their style (power metal, folk metal, symphonic metal,...) it's awesome! In their songs they sing about medieval and/or fantasy subjects, for example the song I pinned above is named To Erebor and refers to Tolkien's story about the dwarfs in middle earth.

Now the time has come, into Middle-Earth we ride
For the crown, seven stars ablaze over the night

A king is to return
Through the years they played as supporting act for numerous bands of this genre. To be honest I was surprised that I haven't heard something of them before I "found" them some days ago. They played with Wintersun, Finntroll, Epica, Eluveitie and Ensiferum and you know what? I'm going to see them in April as supporting act from Ensiferum! We bought our tickets for Ensiferum last week and after I check the Facebook-page of Wind Rose I was happily surprised to see that they play together that day! So, @ol-graphic-art and @blackfeather check them out before 15th April!

Here you can find a quiet song The Returning Race which is about the march through the Mirkwood which appears in the The Hobbit. If you're dressed like a dwarf you won't come around J.R.R. Tolkien it seems :D
