Mortifer - Senseless War (thrash metal)
Mortifer is a legendary Russian thrash metal band from tne city of Kostroma. The band was founded in 1988 by Sergey Novikov (guitars, vocals) and Anatoly Chebotar (drums).

Давненько мы не возвращались к старому доброму трешачку. Это потому, что чем дальше несет нас река времени, тем... эээ... придумайте тут что-нибудь сами, а я тем временем скажу пару слов об очень известной и почитаемой когда-то треш-банде Mortifer. Появилась она в 1988 году. Собственно, ничего другого в то дремучее время возникнуть не могло, ибо in Soviet Russia существовало всего два вида тяжелой музыки: "просто метал", считавшийся прибежищем дряхлых свидетелей Битлз, и "правильный треш", который играли и слушали нормальные люди. Остальные металлические стили/жанры/течения уныло ржавели где-то на культурной обочине, на правах статистической погрешности. Вот поэтому музыканты из Mortifer и выбрали треш, ничего другого они выбрать не могли. Хотя если прислушаться, я бы сказал, что некоторые гитарные тенденции здесь абсолютно очевидны. Если бы эта команда собралась не в 1988 году, а лет на двадцать позже, я уверен, что она бы играла божественный black metal, однако вместо этого в 2008 году группа Mortifer распалась, хнык.
