What Is DSound All About and How Does It Work? ...
Looking more into the Steem blockchain and its ecosystem I came across DSound.
What Is DSound All About?
If you like creating your own music. DSound is the place to be. DSound is a web application that allows you to upload, listen and discover music. The data is stored on top of a IPFS Network. It uses the Steem blockchain as a decentralised data which allows authors to earn rewards in Steem Dollars.
It works in the same way as Steemit. Where you for example: upvote blog post you will now give a song some love.

Musicians publish their songs, promos and recordings and are rewarded for their work immediately, without any publishing and/or distribution involved.
A Good Advantage of DSound
When you publish any of your creations on platforms like SoundCloud, YouTube, Apple Music or Spotify you run the risk of it being removed for copyright infringement, just because the can.
Even worse for other kinds of creations, which constitute fair use of copyrighted materials, like remixes, mashups or even DJ sets. If you want to share any of these with your fans, you won't be able to. Uploading your creations to YouTube or SoundCloud and in a matter of seconds they are removed for copyright infringement.
This is not acceptable.
These are evolved works of the original ones, which serve to promote the authors or give them a different use. For example: a remix makes people dance to an undanceable song. These creations deserve to be published and their authors deserve to earn their bucks if people like it!
What Should You Take Out of This?
This is another project developed on the Steem blockchain and is big for everyone involved. DSound gives content creators in the music space the opportunity to be fairly compensated for their creations.
The copyright law is broken and needs an overhauling. Small creators need a fair chance and I believe DSound gives them the opportunity to do just that. I give this project a big thumbs up and well done to the developer.
I’ve already shared love with some of the content on DSound. Give them a good hard look if you into creating your own music.

Does music uploaded from Dsound have to be created by yourself?
Hey @colincryptos, Yes, as far as I understand. It needs to be your own creation. However, you can create DJ sets and mixes and it won't be removed for copywrite infridgement like on other platforms, YouTube ect. Check out the DSound page for more in debt info on what you can and cannot do. Hope it helps ...
