Over the week Spotify has been in the hot seat, ever since removing xxxtencion and R.Kelly from their playlists. It's not sitting too well with artists and some have gone so far as to remove their music because of it. Kendrick Lamar's representatives reached out expressing their disagreements with the policy and now, Spotify is beginning to fall back, putting xxxtencion back on the playlists. It's just another example of how companies can attempt enforce their rules but the people definitely have a say. If nobody stands up against it, nothing will happen. Luckily Kendrick and his reps weren't having it.

VEVO shuts down their website and app, but don't count them out. They still have a heavy relationship with YouTube. They are making plans to keep the root of the Vevo value at its core and still use their platform to merge with YouTube. It's a good and bad thing you can say.
Rock Band "Ghosts"drops their song on Instagram Stories
Remember that post I wrote about Instagram stories? Well here's an example of it being used. Rock Band "ghosts" broke out the strategy with their newest release right on Instagram stories. Check it out.
Monster Cable company plan for ICO

Monster is another company trying to leverage Cryptocurrency by getting into the blockchain business. They plan on releasing an ERC 20 Token and also plan on replacing their existing business on the blockchain (delivery,receiving, shipping etc). I'm not sure if this makes sense looking at the token metrics. They plan on holding at least 40% of the tokens. Not sure I'll be participating myself but it is interesting to see them getting involved.
