Sigh... this can wait...
Well... the lowest of the resonant strings broke on the Viola d'amore, and it is a right pain in the arse to change! After all the string needs to be threaded through the narrow space between the fingerboard and the body of the instrument without tangling and touching the other strings in this confined space! It's a bit of a fiddly job to do, although, it is easier with a new straight string rather than reusing an older string which is already all curly!
However, today I'm travelling to the North of Netherlands, which means that I'm spending about 6 hours on trains (three going there and three coming back...), so I don't have the time to change the string.
The concert for this instrument is on Sunday, so maybe I'll have a chance to change it tomorrow in the morning (the concert for today and tomorrow is on Violin, so I don't need the Viola d'amore...). Although, the lowest of the resonant strings doesn't contribute overly much to the sound of the instrument... so, if I don't manage to do it before the concert on Sunday, it should still be okay from the point of view of the audience!
However, lots of time on the train means that I have a good amount of time for writing... I have some more bounties to write for Binance and some longer STEEM posts that have been sitting around waiting to be written.....

3 hours on a train oh boy. I think I would have a hard time focusing or staying awake fir that matter. I do hope you have time to properly install that string and get that instrument up and running before the weekend is up!
Actually... I do often find myself falling asleep for a half an hour or so... but, normally I'm stocked up with a laptop and a Switch! ... plus no kids!
