🎬The movie "GOING IN STYLE" - Watch and Call your Family.

The comedy "Going in style" came out in April 2017 . I was surprised to see the name of the director. It turns out that Zach Braff sat down in the director's chair, and even managed to shoot a few films.

PLOT

Three retirees lived happily ever after having discovered at last, that the company that paid them a pension stopped doing it. One of the friends risks being left without a home, and they decide to rob a bank.

In the lead roles, as you already understood from the title picture:

• Morgan Freeman - Willie Davis. His kidneys are shutting down, and he was placed at the very end of the waiting list because of his age.
• Michael Caine - Joe Harding. He can not repay a loan because of the termination of pension payments.
• Alan Arkin - Albert Garner. The most mobile of the trio, a former musician.

And a pleasant surprise - Christopher Lloyd, Dr. Emmett L. Brown, as a crazy old man...

RESUME

I was not going to watch this movie because of the retirement theme. Usually it is difficult for me to realize old age, especially when it passes heavily. For me, probably one of the most terrible thing in life, it's not death, but old age. Especially the feeling that the body no longer obeys you. And the second point, of course, is financial security at retirement age.

So, the decisive moment in the decision to watch or not to watch 'Going in style' was of course Morgan Freeman. I have a feeling that he was always old). I do not remember the others either.

The movie raises the following problems:

-How to live on the pensions or small income? Although, according to my calculations, the protagonists had a pension of $ 1,000 each, which is clearly greater than that of our Russian pensioners, but there are more expenses in the United States.
Predatory price tags of banks. As I already mentioned, one of the main characters has a mortgage on the house. He does not pay - the house will be taken away in 30 days. Joe is surprised to learn about the increase in interest, that he will be taken away from the house, asks why he was not immediately told about it when they gave out the loan? We have the same thing, no one reads the fine print....

-Medicine. Willie has kidney disease, he needs a kidneys for transplant. However, he is quite old and of course, it is put on the waiting list, but the last. On the one hand, it is clear that he is "horse glue", on the other hand, what about humanity? And now let's remember the recently deceased David Rockefeller? He died at 101 years after the sixth or seventh heart transplantation! That is, if there is money, then what difference does it make how old you are, there will be a heart for you!

-Economic crisis. The enterprise, where our friends worked, transports its production to Vietnam, in order to reduce the cost of production. As we know, everything is in fact in real life. The same China suffocates from an infinite number of factories. Growing competition, the desire to stuff a pocket, to pump out all the oil now, faster to buy a bigger yacht .... I fear that unwise use of the resources of our planet will someday lead to disastrous consequences for the planet.

These are the main problems raised in the film to show us the motivation of the characters. But, since it is a comedy, there will be no raising of questions about loneliness, a father/son thing, etc. Still, "Going in style" is an entertaining movie, and we should not feel at least some hint of sadness. There is humor, black humor, no stupid jokes. I liked all the stages of preparation for robbery and the interrogation.

In "Going in style", of course, there are cons. We are told that all three friends worked at the factory (if I'm not mistaken) for 40 years. But they don't look like hard workers, whose health is undermined by hard work. Or, despite the lack of money, they still go to a cafe. And, of course, this is not a clever movie about the excellent robbery of the bank. This is an easy and good movie for the evening, laugh, a little sad that time spares no one, and after the inscription "The end" take the phone and call your parents and grandparents).

And finally. Of course, the film is not a novelty. This is a remake of the 1979 film. Its ratings are higher, but without Morgan Freeman I do not see this picture anymore.
