RE: SKELETON OF A BETTER MOVIE - Suicide Squad (2016)

in #movies7 years ago

a lot of solid choices here. it's unfortunate that the studio thought that THIS was the movie to reset the dogshit that the DC movies have been since the last Nolan Batman flick (and really...will they ever get better than that? i seriously doubt it)

but man, i really couldn't take Leto seriously as the Joker. maybe if he had come between Jack and Heath? possibly. but it's gonna take a real serious incarnation to replace what Ledger did for that particular villain.

but god i wanted this movie to be so, so, so much better than it actually was. with the cast they threw together, you'd think they would've spent some seriously money on the writing too.

Heheheheh. For some reason, I just really liked this version of the Joker. Something about the visuals and the clothes and the practicality he had running beneath the smiley bullshit.

I dunno, Wonder Woman was impressive. Not perfect but easily the best DC movie since the Dark Knight movies.

Too right, man, too right. It could so easily have been so much better. Too many cooks syndrome, a pretty common trait in movies of this coulda-shoulda-been-good nature.
