How much water consumed for a cup of coffee?

I ask : How much water consumed for a cup of coffee?
A lot of answers are : A cup of water.

Is kinda make sense...

But you may miss out one thing..

When you pick up a cup, you may need to wash it, that consume some water..
When you cook water, you will cook water more than the cup needs to make sure it is fully fulfilled, and where will the rest be?
When you finish the coffee, you gotta clean it, so that consume more water than the first wash.
And end up you will find, the water that consume in the preparation is far more than the water that is needed in the cup of coffee.

That reflect those people working hard out there, our family, our friends, our partners, our lovers, our trust one, everyone we know or we may not know, that fulfill us, help us, support us, raise us, directly indirectly, consciously unconsciously, obviously or inconspicuous, warm or hurt, smile or tears, hit or raise...

They are just like the water, whom does complete the cup of coffee like us. The water that flow into the basin just like how they sacrifice, support, help, fulfill us,
