Don't live a LIE ~ get loved for being you
Lies! Lies! Lies! Everybody lies, or rather we have all told a lie at one point in our lives. Question is; why do we really lie? Especially to our loved ones.
People would say lying is a part of being human. But is it truly a human nature or just an excuse to get away from the consequences of our actions?
One thing I’ve discovered is that some people are not truly who they claim to be, they may be at most 89% of the personality they portray or not, but what about the remaining 21% or the other percentage.
The disparity of what we portray from who we really are, varies. People lie for so many reason; we lie to fit in, we lie to avert the responsibility of an action(s), we lie to please, we lie to seek approval, we lie to make a conversation interesting, I could go on and on.
The society has set a mould more like a standard, for how an ideal life should be; perfect marriage, career, family, relationships etc. When we don’t fit into the mould or meet the standard, we lie.
we pretend to be who we are not, just to fit in. Why can’t we just be who we really are; ourselves. Being who we are, is far much easier than pretending to be who we are not.
Thing is, living a lie is serious work. You see everything hidden has a way of leaking out. For the fear of losing our loved ones; we go deeper into the lie pit. But we eventually lose them.
The Thing is, we can never really hide through out our lives. We find out that it was never really worth the trouble, it’d have been much easier to have the truth. Just coming out clean initially will save you a whole lot of troubles.
We find someone we love, na! Someone we really like; we size them up. We sometime feel the need to impress, we make stuff up; building castles in the air. Problem is, they get to like us based on the lie we tell. We hide our true selves, for the fear that they may not really like who we are. Yeah! I was guilty as well. But it’s so wrong.
If someone truly loves us like they claim, lying to them wouldn’t be worth the trouble, you know. We feel they love us for only our good sides, we think that if they catch a glimpse of the ugly part of our personality; they’d desert us.
It’s better for someone to love you for who you are than for them to love you for who you’re not.
Most times, we are ashamed or afraid of who we are or rather the person we’ve grown to become; so we mask our true selves.
Everyone one wants that sense of belonging. A couple of us go way over board to belong; we lie. it’s so simple, so easy to do. Question; are we really ready for the consequence. Is it really worth it?
Some people are chatter boxes, they make stuff up, just to look interesting. They always have interesting stories. Things are always happening to them. Interesting stuff, always. They don’t even remember the last thing they said. Screwed up liars. Liars! Liars! Liars! Is it really worth the trouble?

So many times i see some people trying to blend in in the wrong way in other to be accepted but i feel it is good to be yourself and stand out in your uniqueness... No need to lie ... No need to be someone else

In chinese, there is a quote "善良的谎言", direct translation means "kind lies" . i admit I tell lies in order to reduce any bad consequences. For example, You tell your parents you're living well while you're not, to reduce their worries. It troubles me but at least not them ;)
