Bangladesh is a increasingly transforming itself from its rural charecter into an urban one.People from the rural areas are constantly moving out to the metropolitan areas in search of better opportunities.The include greater access to employement ,health care ,better education and many other practical facilities.So this is creating an almost unmanageable demographical problem.This is perticurlary true of Dhaka,the capital city of the country.Thousands of people are arriving at Dhaka from different parts of the country.They are creating excessive pressures on the service sectors of the country.It is becoming a great challenge to ensure safe drinking water ,electricity ,proper drainage and domestic fuel for cooking.The areas of slums are increasing day by day creating problems of habitation.We can not see any practical solution to this problems in the immediate future.Appropriate authorities should take appropriate steps without any further delay so that these problems can be solved.As a long term solution ,we should try to create a sufficient opportunities in the rural areas to prevent a minimize this trend of domestic migration.
