LIFE, AN UNENDING PUZZLE

Yesterday I saw a picture quote on instagram that reads thus:

Five things you cannot recover in life:

  1. A stone after the throw.
  2. The word after it’s said.
  3. An occasion after it’s missed.
  4. Time after it’s gone.
  5. Trust after it’s gone.

These are excellent tip which we all need to deliberate on and consider doing. Time and season they say, waits for no man therefore, every one of our actions should be accounted for. Life is an unending cycle, whatever positivity you have today can become a negative one tomorrow. With age comes growth in knowledge and understanding, so daily

A stone/Word after it's thrown and said : We sometimes tend to scream out our feelings or thoughts as they come, and this can lead to expressing ourselves without considering the impacts of our words and how hurtful it might be. Let us learn to keep some thoughts to ourselves when hurt or angry. Practice this act and at the long run it will yield a better result. Our thoughts have so much power over us, it is better we learn to use this power wisely.

But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.– James 1:19

An occasion after it's missed : How we live our lives and our impacts in other people’s lives are what really count. Sometimes we don’t let people know how much they have positively touched our lives. We get carried away with life’s activities and forget them, by the time we realize this, it might be too late. Take some time off to check on your loved ones, show your love to them while they are here to appreciate it. Spend quality time with them while they are alive so that you will have memories of them when they are no more.

Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.–Wayne Dyer

Time after it’s gone: One of the most important thing we cannot get back in life is time. Utilize your time wisely and your time will invest well in you. Let your time be of value to you and others. Create time for occasions you don’t want to miss.

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.―Mother Theresa

Trust after it’s lost : Trust when broken can be damaging because you lose your credibility and reputation. Be careful in your dealings, trust is a very important part of life, once lost it can never be regained. Be sincere in all you do because once your trust is broken, it will be difficult to repair.

Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.-Unknown

In conclusion, always consider your words and be slow to actions. Time and trust are man’s guide to a good life.

Thank you so much....

@ifeoluwa88 thanks for the awesome reminders....life at times can be overwhelming and we forget even the simplest of things and the importance that they play in everyday life.....

I found your post through @aggamun who featured you in the weekly curation contest hosted by @pifc. All the best to you.

Yes to that, and we must create time to balance our life between family and work..Thank you for stopping by...

You're most welcome

I think I can argue about all of the five items on your list but basically, my answer to those would be: It depends on the severity and context of the situation, and how other people take it.

Just one example, I have distant relatives who conned me but in spite of all the pain, I still treat them properly specially when they come around and treat me the right way. On the other hand, there were acquaintances who conned me whom I do not want to see their faces again, ever. That is literal that I don't wanna see them in spite of their efforts to reach out.

Well, sometimes I just make my answer safe with "it depends…" 😃 You have a vey good sharing of your thoughts though! I came across your post through @aggamun who featured it on his entry for the Pay It Forward Curation Contest. The contest is open to everyone so you are welcome to join.

ahahahahah....i hope so

Interesting post @ifeoluwa88 😉 I think that we can pick the stone back if we thrown it not too far 😊 but the nail after it's hammered... we will leave a hole in the wood or anything after we took out the nails that can't be fixed 😊 but it has the similar objectives with the first and second lines on the list.. good advise anyway, we need to be careful with anything we do or said, think twice before you speak out your mind... that's the point.

Thanks for sharing this insightful thought of yours with us. Thanks to @aggamun whos has featured your post in his entry post for the pay it forward contest this week, that's how I found your post. Keep Steeming!
