Let's Eat Update, Milestones, Community and More ...
The Let's Eat community is growing every day.
We are now getting over 20 posts a day which is a big milestone, we have almost hit 200 downloads on the play store but our biggest achievement is already having 109 unique accounts posting reviews.
Each week I will give a brief update to showcase some of the reviews from around the world that have been made with the app and keep the community involved about developments.
Let’s Eat
Let's Eat will reward people who make reviews on the Steem Blockchain about Restaurants, Cafes or any food establishment they visit. Posts are pinned to a map in the app which makes it easy to find and review nearby places when you are out and about.
Let's Eat is not just about Restaurants, I have used it to post about picnic spots, market stalls and even pubs.
If you can eat there you can post it on Let's Eat and get rewarded from the Steem Blockchain.

What we are looking for …
Rewarding Quality Contributions
We will upvote content according to two criteria
- Originality
- Quality
Original Content
If you copy a photo from a website, or generic undescriptive text, you are not adding much value to our platform or to the Steem Blockchain so you will not get an upvote. We want to see real experiences, crowdsourced information from real people. Snap a photo, give a short description of the atmosphere or the food.
This is all helpful value adding content. Other people can use it to decide on where to eat.
Quality of the Content
We are not looking necessarily for professional photographs or prose, but we are looking for quality. Quality is subjective but generally speaking if you make an effort at sharing your experience you will get rewarded. It is ok to post multiple reviews for a place, we see this as keeping the reviews up to date for a location, however having a coffee every day at a place will get less votes, than when you discover a hidden gem that you didn’t know was there. That is the vision at least!

Would you like to help me get more communities and languages involved?
I will make a post in Spanish tomorrow to promote this initiative to the Spanish Community, but if anyone would like to help me promote the app in their language or community it would be very much appreciated. You may consider resteeming or translating this post.
I will definitely have to get help to make a Polish post so that we are all set for Steemfest :)

SteemFoodTours
This challenge by @jeffjagoe is a weekly contest to promote Restaurant Reviews on the Steem Blockchain.
Currently most review sites operate as a business in a centralized nature. This leads to advertisements on the platform, paid-for-reviews, paid-deletions, and overall it can corrupt the legitimacy of the rating. I believe the STEEM blockchain is a great place to leave honest, uncensored reviews about restaurants, eating establishments and more. The de-centralized nature of the blockchain will allow for a truthful consumer rating that cannot be tweaked, or lobbied.
Week 22 of this contest is on now.

I'm sure app let's eat will reach 1000 downloads in 2018, authenticity and writing with good quality it will get more value I strongly agree it. personally I support lets eat

Yay, that dot in Denver is me! LOL I will for sure post more, I just don't eat out very often. :)
PS boba tea is pretty popular in Denver, too!

Nice app.
Will there be an iPhone app for this project? I really like the initiative and would definitely use it!
The beta is focusing on Android but I want to roll it out to as many platforms as possible.
