The yellow lily is by far an exquisite flower. With its big and bright colored petals, it surely stands out in the gardens.
But, despite its cheerful hue of yellow, the symbolism associated to this flower is not a... let's say, positive. Yellow lillies are linked to falsehood, to the flirty nature of humankind. It is believed that these flowers at a wedding ceremony point out the groom's infidelity.
Also, in the witches' lore, the yellow lily is the perfect antidote for love spells no matter how deep they are. Well, I guess is not necessary a bad thing though... 🙂

Anyway, let's forget about meanings and symbols and just enjoy the beauty of these majestic flowers.

    I never think about the symbols. It is simply not fair to relate the flower with something unpleasant. Yellow lily is simply gorgeous.
