I took this picture recently when I was in a bus. The cylindrical shape building in the left is Pearl Bank Apartments which have been sold en bloc to a developer, Capitaland. It was built in 1976 and many are calling it to be conserved as it is an iconic enough building. There are massive construction around the area including a train station which result in the building you see in the middle, Pearls Center, being acquired by the government. That will be demolished. Looking at this picture, I have to think there are bigger development plans which will probably result in the Pearl Bank Apartments being demolished too.
