That's a really beautiful image. I am a big fan of monochrome shots, especially abstract textures like this. I think part of why I so enjoy them is the ambiguity - since I don't know what this is a picture of, I am free to interpret it on various scales (microscopic, huge) in full freedom.
Nice entry. The fine detailed patch on the lower right seems to serve as a focal point. I might use this image in a poetry post and link to your blog, if you're OK with that :-) I'll wait for your reply @cranium. Have an awesome day!
