Warning may cause Vertigo, Monochrome Monday looking up in Hudson Yards.
This is a post for Monochrome Monday hosted by @old-guy-photos A challenge I try to join as often as I can, the other challenges he hosts are Sepia Saturday and Tree Tuesday, all fun challenges and worth checking out.
This post also fits the looking up challenge that has been started by @melinda010100 and @pixelfan
I did this [post] (https://steemit.com/monochromemonday/@tattoodjay/monochrome-monday-totally-random) recently with some shots looking up in Hudson Yards, and I had a couple of more shots that I thought would work well in Mono so I saved them for this post.

As I mentioned in the other post, Hudson Yards used to be a bit of a rough Area and is named Hudson Yards for the big train yards in the area, its quite a hub for trains, but considerable investment has taken place in the area, around 18 Billion Dollars in fact and it has transformed into quite an upscale area, not only with these tall buildings but some new shopping areas, which just recently opened and I haven't checked out the mall area yet.
This is looking up at a few of the buildings, all with very cool designs

And looking up from another spot, showing more of the buildings, and the one in the bottom is not actually a building but a new attraction in the area called the vessel, but I will explain more about that in another post
Some have said doesnt taking shots like this hurt your neck
Well I would normally say a little but its not s bad, but after taking some more looking up shots on Saturday, my neck clicked a little and then became a little sore to move and lead to a throbbing heahache so I guess i should say yes it can
the headaches are gone after some head pads on my neck and my neck is feeling almost normla again as long as I dont turn to uickly so may take a break from looking up this week
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Oh who would know that photographers can have injuries from trying to take that perfect shot! So sorry to hear about the aches! Anyway I just love the first shot - It has a lot of detail and is really interesting!
I think age on my part and the foolish things I did when younger are playing a big part of it as well, but yes I know not only me but other friends that have had injuries getting shots, I stepped off the edge of a small bank and slipped down aa small slope and into a pond a year or two back, managed to keep the camera safe but did inure my ankle and knee a little lOL Thanks for your visit :)
Good thing I was sitting down :-)
I am glad you were and be warned I will have more vertigo causing shots coming soon
Sorry to hear about the neck ache. I had one the other day and my wife made me use a massager she bought that you hold with arm straps. It hurt while it was working, but afterward my neck and head pain were gone and I could turn my head again.
Thanks Mate that sounds like something I need HOt compresses worked for one and it was feeling good until I went out into the cold air this morningSo I think will be doing some more hot compresses this evening
Excellent!
Thanks Kindly :)

I can see why vertigo is possible, it took me a moment to center on that first picture. We are not as young as we used to be, and those odd positions tend to make the muscles cranky. ;-)
I try to remember to give the warning as I know some people suffer from it badly My Neck was feeling good this morning, tillI went out in the near freezing point temps, but I know some hot compresses on it this evening and it will be as good as gold
But yes I have to admit we is showing to toll occasionally on me LOL
Glad you are feeling better. I do love all your photos, you have a wonderful eye for capturing the life in the city.
Thanks so kind of you and it is a hobby I love :)
I love the first shot. Like a giant distorted apocalyptic chessboard from a sci-fi movie.
