That first one looks like you're in for a bit of a storm. Granted they're not cumulonimbus, but it looks like something is coming. Was the sailboat alone out there? Nice shots!
No, not cumulonimbus....yet, but a storm did whip up pretty fast. That's Lake Ontario. The sailboat was out there alone, yes. It didn't have it's sails up so I am assuming it was motoring back to dock. It was going right into the storm though so maybe out there wasn't as bad....makes no sense to me, but I don't sail. You can see the rain coming down in the bottom photo on the left horizon.
Love how the buoys floating lead up to the boat. Perfect example of leading lines
