What, can I say... Don't give up! Be consistent & create valuable, original content. You will succeed sooner or later. Just don't give up :)
Absolutely. In fact, I can't say that TOO loudly, just because I've had some good luck here in the past week that I've been here. Sometime within the first few days, I managed to score a couple hundred on a post by getting the upvote of @stephencurry for a post I made, and then today I got an upvote from @dantheman for a comment I made to someone else's post.
I've come to the (standing) conclusion that as long as you're not a bot and not just posting crap content over and over with the same attitude that one might have when gambling carelessly at a casino, eventually you're going to say or post something that a whale likes.
For sure! IMHO, Steemit isn't any different from other social networks, blogging or business. It's all about provided value and finding your own voice in the noise. Of course, you can get lucky and occasionally earn a few hundred with a crappy content. But in a long-term, it's not viable neither for us as users, nor Steemit as a medium.
