Accountability Standards: The Garden of Eden Daily Ledger, or How We Spend Our Freedom - 10/5/16 Our Most Productive Ledger Yet!

in #money8 years ago

Our full-time volunteers are dedicated to building a better world for ALL!

Our "work" is also our play; we devote our precious time, resources, and skills towards doing what we love every day of the week, every week of the year. What we love is being the change in the world, and we put a lot of energy towards feeding, clothing, housing, and educating others. We do not wake up to alarms, put on uniforms, commute to the office, waste time being polite with coworkers, or sell our hours to anyone else.

With great focus and great appreciation, we can make a considerable impact in a short amount of time! We present our ledgers of production for full transparency and to hold ourselves accountable to our high standards.

Our last ledger was a week ago.

Since then, we have:

  • salvaged what would be valued at about $630 worth of sustainable building materials to complete projects
  • negotiated a deal to redirect trash waste from a natural health food store to the needy which will amount to another few hundred dollars worth of resources for those in need a week!
  • listed 39 products on Peerhub for SBD exchange to strengthen this economy

  • received clothing donations
  • saved 1200 pounds of trash from the landfill
  • harvested 860 pounds of food
  • fed 275 free meals
  • prepared them using 140 pounds of salvaged trash wood

  • welcomed volunteers to assist in the garden
  • participated in the grand opening of the Urban Traders Market, a festival for artisans and craftsmen
  • hosted Fort Worth's first Steemit Meetup
  • planned the next Steemit Meetup to be held at Arts Goggle in Fort Worth on October 8
  • raised $500 from our operations of which will feed almost 200 more free meals to those in need!

  • built a greenhouse
  • negotiated international trade agreements (details coming soon!)
  • organized the garage
  • prepped for a garage sale and cleaned out the barn
  • cleaned the gutters
  • made 175 pounds of compost
  • rendered 25 gallons of dried herbs for tea blends

  • packaged and shipped 5 orders
  • trimmed trees and chopped firewood
  • saved a fig tree
  • took 2487 photos
  • created 8 new recipes

  • experimented with natural paints created from eggs, berries, and plants
  • decanted 10 gallons of homemade wine
  • rendered 2 gallons of apple cider and tropical vinegar
  • planted greens, cabbage, and broccoli
  • made biochar and comfrey tea to fertilize the garden
  • processed 5 pounds of organic, homegrown tobacco

Our small community is extremely successful! Our involvement in Steemit aligns with our values and provides mutual benefit. By showing what a small group of focused, committed individuals can accomplish in a short time, we hope to inspire others to build the world they want! WE ARE THE CHANGE!
