TESLA's Top Shareholders, Brief Company / Shareholder Overview, 1 year NASDAQ Chart.
Tesla is one of the most creative tech companies in the world, focusing mostly on producing automobiles but also on design and energy.
Silicon Valley engineers founded Tesla in 2003. They wanted to show that electric cars could have torque, power along with zero emissions. In 2008, Tesla Motors produced its first car, the Roadster, a little rocket that accelerated from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds.
It also had a range of 245 miles / charge with the onboard lithium ion battery.
2012: Tesla launches its flagship, epic Model S, -- the world's initial luxury brand electric sedan. It's now in production of their next offering -- the larger - market targeted Model 3.
As at November 17, 2017, TSLA's market cap. reached $52.52 billion — down $3 billion from the previous month.
Tesla, with November's launch of the Tesla Semi-Truck, ( stated stats - can travel over 500 miles on a charge, and the introduction of a new Tesla Roadster which founder Musk states can travel for 620 miles on a single charge,) Tesla is focusing on putting its recent run of bad luck behind them.

I've fought for Environmental causes for years. 1 of the best ways we can do that in daily life is to try and buy or use best practices that support our values!
There are lots of choices to make in a day but buying an electric car is definitely one of the ways you can vote with and live by your wallet to support these choices you most value.
As I've posted on before, I run the Tesla Fan Club for my area/province here and their head office in Cali has called me in the past to discuss marketing, so I was glad to stop and talk to these people about Tesla and life.
Buying sustainable products and living a low impact lifestyle has actually become highly political as the gov'ts seek to tax and overburden us at every turn as we know, no matter how responsibly we choose to live.

Musk was born in South Africa and attended the University of Pennsylvania before beginning his graduate studies at Stanford University. However, Musk dropped out to start a multitude of companies, such as Zip2 and X.com (later known as Paypal), which he sold to Compaq and eBay Inc.

As of April 21, 2017, Musk reportedly indirectly owned 33.6 million shares of Tesla through a trust, making him the largest shareholder, both among institutions and individuals. Jeffrey Straubel serves as the chief technology officer (CTO) of Tesla Motors and is the second-largest single shareholder, on a per share basis. Straubel holds a bachelor's degree in energy systems engineering and a master's degree in engineering from Stanford University. Straubel is a co-founder of Tesla, and he has managed the engineering and technical design of the electric vehicles, which was primarily focused on motor, battery, software subsystems and power electronics. As of May 12, 2017 Straubel held 326,301 shares of Tesla, making him the second largest individual shareholder.

Kimbal Musk is the brother of Elon Musk and a director of Tesla Motors. Kimbal Musk is also the co-founder of The Kitchen Company, a food company committed to creating restaurants with only real food . Kimbal and Elon Musk started their first company, Zip2, in 1995 and sold it for over $300 million in 1999. Kimbal Musk has advised, founded and invested in multiple startup companies. He graduated from the Queen's Business School and the French Culinary Institute and has served as an adjunct professor at New York University. Kimbal Musk has held and holds board seats in Tesla Motors, Medium Inc., SpaceX and BlackBook Media. As of Oct 31, 2017, he owned 152,714 shares of Tesla, which makes him the third largest individual shareholder.

I'm rooting for Tesla, but I wish they would go the more open-source right-to-repair route with their vehicles instead of the big corporate lock-it-down-and-probably-spy-on-you route.
