MLB Odds: Rockies-Diamondbacks at Chase Field this Thursday
They may be well behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West, but the Colorado Rockies (37-34, plus-4.36 betting units) and Arizona Diamondbacks (38-35, plus-6.41 units) have both been profitable this year, and they’re very much in the hunt for a Wild Card berth in the postseason. Arizona will host a three-game series between these division rivals this week at Chase Field, with Thursday’s finale beginning at 3:40 PM ET.

Jeff Hoffman (7.04 ERA) is due to start for Colorado, while the Snakes will respond with southpaw Robbie Ray (3.83 ERA). Hoffman was the prize prospect the Rockies picked up from the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2015 Troy Tulowitzki trade, but he has yet to find success at the big-league level, leading Colorado to two wins in six starts this year for a loss of 2.01 units. Arizona are up 0.71 units behind Ray on a team record of 8-7.
The Rockies are the healthier team heading into this series. Nine players from the Snakes roster are on the injured list at press time, including catcher Alex Avila (.918 OPS) and infielders Wilmer Flores (.724 OPS) and Jake Lamb (.722 OPS), all three having been placed on the 10-day IL.
