Days 59 to 72 of 100 Days Fitness/Health Challenge
When I get distracted in life I often forget to keep track of things which is one of the reason I been trying this challenge out. In between the mix of Hurricane Irma coming, losing power, and dealing with a lot of personal things over past 2 weeks. Keeping track of my fitness and eating healthy challenge has not been on my mind very much.
The good news is as of today I am down about half a pound in two weeks and some time. While not very motivating I’ve not been on the straight and narrow for this one.
Fitness
Around days 59 to 64 I did a lot of outdoor work preparing for the worst. Quite a few hours spent each day tripping things down moving things around, moving the thing in. From there up till last Sunday I believe I spent most time indoors cleaning things up, and securing and rearranging things for hours a day. After the hurricane hit and we lost power I did very little. Was too hot and tired and mostly rested.
After we got power back I spent more time on the cleanup booth outdoors from trees falling, garbed around the area, and damage we sustained needing repairs. Then I took more of a break just needing it both mentally and physically.
Now that I am starting to get things back on track I am going start focusing more on swimming, treadmill, and weightlifting as I have before. I have missed all these things greatly to my surprise.
Eating
My diet was more meats and other protein things like tuna, chicken, and hamburger. Stuff that needed to be cleared out of the refrigerator or whatever we could grill once we lost power. From there it was more canned items, and boxed items.
I also took a break during my diet once we lost power. Being hot and just wanting to snack on things I did eat some chips with dip, cookies, brownies, and drank a fair bit of Gatorade since I was always sweating day and night form no AC.
Store shelves were empty of fresh things for a while since power was a question and anything canned that was opened needed to be eaten due to Florida’s heat and high humanity. You don’t want to know how fast bread molded and anything that was left out for an hour or two went bad!
Then I had to deal with some heartbreaking things and well I have always eaten poorly when I am in a depressed state. At least I did not gain a lot of weight, in fact, I was down half a pound. Granted with how many body works I might see the weight gain the coming week. Only time will tell.
Moving forward
Time to get me back on track.
- Back to drinking only water
- Still focusing on eating protein for muscle building
- No more junk food for next week at least expect maybe a cheat meal
- Focusing on eating fresh things again
- Lifting dumbbells
- Hitting the treadmill
- Swimming weather permitting
- Outdoor activities
Hope everyone is having a great week. For those who are currently doing the Fitness/Health Challenge, I hope you have been behaving! Get some gains and have a great week!

ya struggling to write about it
Trust me you are doing great!
Thank you, I really needed some encouragement today. Have a great night.
Always here for you!
Protein count up buddy!
Do it for the cat, he would want you healthy.
I did stairs in the stadium today, for 50 mins. If I can do it, after nearly being killed, you can do it too brother.
Be well.
One of benefits of homes down here most don't have stairs!!! Their 1 stepdown to get out of the house. That does not count.
