Steemit Has Made Me A Winner

Before I created my profile @isteemithard I had never won much in life. Growing up not ever being a member of a sports team I had never won a real game of football, baseball, basketball, or soccer. Having never joined the track team or other competitive activity I had never truly competed, so I never had a chance to win.

I have never been much of a gambler the few times I played at a casino I always left with less than I walked in with. Although I won a few dollars on a scratch of lottery ticket I received as a gift I'm told many of them are winners of the small amounts so this was not much of a win.

I created a Facebook account and Instagram account and one day on Instagram I stumbled upon a giveaway, after entering I noticed the hashtag #giveaway had many posts and opportunities. After entering a few of the giveaways that I liked I went back to posting my normal daily life pictures and thoughts. Then one day I got a notification that... I Won!!! I had won a custom hand-blown glass pendant. This was a huge personal win because it was not only the value of what I had won (Salt Glass pendants retail for $300+) but the idea that I actual won something.

Then I found Steemit and I became a real Winner! First I started of with some personal posting and an introduction post, as I started to learn more about the platform and figured out the answers to a few questions I had I made a few posts about them. Then I discovered the #contest #challenge #giveaway #competition tags on Steemit and the fun really began. On other social media sites like Facebook and Instagram most contest and giveaways are boring and redundant to enter simply repost a flyer or advertisement of some sort adding little to no quality to the platforms but spam.

Steemit is totally different in regards to contest and giveaways because each one asks for the entrants to engage and add value to the platform with their entries. So before I even won a single contest the Upvotes started coming in, just by entering these contest I was winning already. Then I actually started to Win!

So Far I Have Won Some Amazing Steemit Contest

The #beersaturday by @detlev a great weekly contest that I have won enough rewards to purchase many entry beers to come. This contest has also helped me discover some awesome local craft beers.

The #googlyeyes weekly contest by @googlyeyes inviting you to be creative and gets me out and about thinking of cool places to stick a pair of Googly Eyes.

The UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE contest by @davor27 this got me to watch some sports which I haven't done in a while so I won in many regards.

The SMTT Show Me The Tits 2 contest hosted by @erodedthoughts sponsored by @berniesanders this was funny because many did not enter because they didn't read the fine print that you didn't have to enter with a nude post but just be creative. Although I did not win 1st place this was the highest payout I have received on Steemit and really got me excited for future contest and challenges.

The #Vehiclephotography contest by @juliank and @photocontests this was a great win because I only have a smartphone so to know that I won a photography contest against users with expensive professional cameras was amazing.

I really enjoy entering in these different Steemit contest and challenges but also interacting with the other entries and seeing what the imaginations of those around the world can come up with.
