Grow a Minnow Contest!
This is my entry in this super fun Grow a Minnow contest by @riverflows
Transmogrification --first time I have heard of this word! LOL here's my entries for this contest!
Last summer, a car wreck nearly took my head off. A halo brace is what is used when you have a broken neck & vertebrae. In the first picture I had about 12 broken bones! The halo was on for three months and those bolts (there were 4 of them) rest against the skull bone at about 7-10 lbs pressure (i think - the details are vague!) And, needed to be re-tightened every two weeks. The halo is off and, i am working hard to recover. 💜🙏
Are you still becoming a minnow? Will you play too!!?

Oh my god!!! I had no idea about that!!! What a thing to happen, and amazing to see you are aliving and kicking and being wonderful you!!! xxx
Haha! It really is a miracle! Through recovery I also found Steem & YOU! #bonus Love Miracles 💜😁
Great to see your recovery you've done great 💯🐒
That is insane! I can't imagine the battles you have been through, the crash and the recovery. I can't imagine either on what its like having the halo. You describe it some but I am thinking its more painful than I can think of. Oh my....
With that said, you must be a superhero to have recovered from all that. A good thing you did ^_^ Lot's of courage and strength to you as you continue your road of recovery.
Thank-you sweet @foxyspirit it's strange but the challenging part is healing my mind, heart, soul and spirit from the break-up. I had to leave my husband of 16 years a month after the accident. But, it's also the best part in a way. To be free from the dysfunction. I would like to blog about it but being in it....i processing it all still. Much Love SiSTAR. It's all on the up & up now 💚🐸
I understand what you are saying completely! Body wounds can heal, and some things emotionally just doesn't go away. So many things I want to say to this but as it is public, it is best that I don't. Know that I feel what you are feeling and the relief can be extraordinary.
Much love to you as well! Happy that you are on the rise! CHEERS!
Oh my, wow you have gone through a major ordeal. Glad to see you alive and moving. What a miracle! You had angels watching over you for sure. Do you still feel any ill effect from the accident today?
No kidding I did! I got a tattoo for those sweet angels 💜 i do have lots of healing to do still. I was a full time yoga teacher teaching 12-17 classes per week and now I teach 2-5. My shoulders don't move like they used to my neck and upper spine are pretty gibbled. I have nerve damage on my left side. And, mentally & emotionally I have challenges. Including depression, ptsd, and some anxiety. Thank-goodness I found Steem! I was staying home alot and also experienced lots of insomnia. Fb was driving me mental with the rollercoaster of emotionally charged posts. I prayed for a different way of social media-ing... litterally! It's been a huge Godsend. Thank Heavens for Lyndsay Bowes! And, all her inspiring projects. Seeing that her dreams were coming true i got curious and asked her a million questions. I would not have lasted the learning curve without her support. Haha! That's a long story! How did you get going on Steem?
I did not know you are an yoga instructor. I guess it would make sense with your name on Steemit. I am so sorry you are still going through stuff now. It must be very frustrating especially if you have been teaching 12-17 yoga classes per week! I totally understand the metal and emotional challenges. I am glad you found Steemit.
I was looking for a new blogging platform to record the progress of our homestead. Came across Steemit after learning about Bitcoin. Thought this would be the perfect place to blog, record and learn about crypto.
I have been going through Topical Steroid Withdraw the last 12 months. I am still not fully healed yet. I can totally relate to what you are saying. I have been hoping to make a post about it, so more people can be warned, but it's still dramatizing for me to look at photos of myself in such a broken state. I still can't control my emotions when I look at those pics of me when I am at my worst. It brings back all the memories of suffering. Nothing like what you went through and are still going through, but I can absolutely relate to the mental challenges. Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself. I feel like I got to know you better :)
Wow! Good for you to find the platform like that. I had to search what you are recovering from and that seems like no fun at all :( what a complicated situation. I've read a book called Diet Wise we can be allergic to the most common things that can cause the underlying skin conditions. It's our body responding to help us survive. Yet, we can curse the symptoms because i can only imagine how troubling they can be. Has your underlying rash healed? Or are you dealing with a compounded issue now? Blessings new friend 💜💚

You are one amazing woman. I hope one day we can meet. It is amazing what we go through in a life time. I am so glad you are in the process of recovery. It must have been very painful and hard to work with such injuries. 3 months with the halo, WOW
I have a good feeling we will meet! I have the July 20th-23rd penciled in to attend the TIPI Retreat. Just waiting for the rest of the details around that to emerge. I think as a woman we can endure so much pain. All levels it's mindblowing. We are all amazing -- Yourself included. I have always making the best of every situation. Like seriously enjoying each momeny even though I was neck deep in a pile of shit!!! No Joke! 😂 Which I am endeavouring to be more discerning now and as I move forward. I don't have to wade in piles of shit....ok! Looking back i put myself & my children through so much being with such an absolutely wrong and selfish person --for so long. That's where the real hard part if healing lies. This physical stuff is frustrating but it is improving. How I could let myself be so abused for so long .... i am smart, i thought i cared about myself, i thought i was doing everything right, i thought it could get better between us. Even when I was in such a bad state after the accident he was so clueless it hurts my heart to comprehend it. And, it's nice to share this with you because I am finally feeling the emotions. Which does not happen often. And, it seems like a nice healthy release. So maybe this next leg of the journey will be so much more happy, functional and productive! WOW is right 💜
I will let Rob know that you have penciled in the weekend. I will get him to get in touch with you regarding the details. I think the official info is going out this week.
It is amazing how we can feel we love ourselves and be in a ralationship like that. I think the abuse sneeks up slowly and we don't notice or we think it is just that situation and it will get better. Then we get so used to it, it becomes the norm. Stepping outside of the situation is really when the clarity can come in. We as humans are very resilient.
You are smart and a great caring woman. I am glad you are able to feel the feelings, it is the beginning of allowing them to be let go. One of the biggest things we can do for ourselves is to remember we are only human and we are learning as we go. To let go of the past and realize it was a situation that happend so we can learn from it. Love ourselves and move on. I know you know this. You are amazing. Have a fabulous day. :)
Excellent article. I really liked it. Good luck to you and Love.
Both of your side by sides gave me goosebumps!!! <3 <3 You go Wonder (full) Woman!!!
It's wild what can come at us. 💜💚🐸💜💚
Loves You!!
