So I've finally got the miner running.... Or have I !? xP
After some serious frustration and swearing at the freaking thing I finally got the miner to work.
The problem is I can't see the hashrate. Or must I be more patient ? Is it mining properly ? I know it is mining since I can hear the cpu fan working harder.
It shouldn't take too long to start after that point. Try starting the miner with --replay_blockchain (might be replay-blockhain just do --help). You can get more help in the mining chat channel
Oh yea i never thought about that. The code to resync was in the article i followed ill just check that out. But surely i dont need to wait that long to see my hashes. Although i have moned before where my hashes never showed till like half an hour later and i though it was not working but saw the balance in my wallet was up :)

Thanks for the links, I will check them out. There's a hardfork tomorrow, and my understanding is that affects the windows miners (not the Linux ones). So that would have caused another setback, I guess.

Maybe i should make a post about it. I think we need a super simple guide. Not that the guides here are no good they are. But im techically minded so for those who are not i dont know if they would be able to do it. I used EZsteam on vm machine running linux. It worked first time. It syncs perfectly amd it told me ehat it was doing whixh i liked. It takes very long though. But you just add a few kines of code then wait and you done. I can make 1 steem in 10 hours. At 7khps I know its not fast but it is thr most lucratice thing i can mine right now. Im actually surprised i can mine as muxh as i can.
I first tried to set up on Linux through a VM, but got something wrong somewhere. So will try these new links you sent, probably wont have time for a few days, and see how I go.
