Sixth Month on Steem! My Progress so Far!!
Yep! It's that time of the month again. It's my Steem Monthsary and a good time to look back to what I have done during the last month and to show off some of my so-called "little" progress while I was in here. It's also the perfect time to thank some of my friends/followers for their undying support along my Steem journey! Thank you all! :)
My progress so far!
Steem Power:
Let's start with the most interesting part of an account and the first thing people look at before interacting with anyone on this platform (Of course not true for all, but sadly true for most XD).
I now have a natural SP of 360, an increase of 114 from last months 246. I am honestly quite proud of myself for this growth. It is important to note that I still haven't invested any money on Steem and have no prior experience in blogging/writing and even interacting with strangers online(even Facebook and Instagram) before coming here. So for someone who just write stuffs to pass some free time(Yeah I have that much free time!), this personally is impressive for me. So give me a break here if I seem too proud of this little achievement. :)
Anyway, 250 of that natural 360SP are being delegated to communities I trust and which supports me back in return: @qurator and @make-a-whale. I am actually planning to increase my delegation to @make-a-whale before this month ends. But do not worry people, thanks to SteemJet and @dimimp's generosity, I will still have an effective SP of 1250 or higher so I will still be able to support some of my friends and loyal supporters in return. XD
Reputation:
I now have a reputation of 60.42, an increase of 1.22 from last months 59.2. Since reputation is expotential a small increase like this ain't really that bad.
Followers:
I forgot to take count the number of followers I have last month, but two months ago I have 485 followers. At the time of writing this post, I have 801 followers, an increase of 316 in a two-months time. Well not a lot considering I now have 257 inactive(dead) followers out of my 647 ghost followers. I would still like to thank the bot-makers though for making me feel special. Thank you bot-makers!
What I did differently compared to last month
With the disappointing price of Steem/SBD averaging only at $1-$1.3 this month, the payout reward system have changed and we are now being paid both in Steem and SBD. Because of this 15 days ago to be exact, I've stopped the use of bid-bots to promote my posts. With the Busy bots on pause that week (to which I was using for months now), I was tempted to explore more other alternatives. And Thank God I did cause I am definitely loving the eSteem platform right now.
Long story short, 15 days ago I've stopped using bid-bots and eSteem is now my new favorite platform to publish my posts with and will continue to do so for next month.
Although yesterday, I purchased a wordpress account under the vornix subdomain to try @steempress-io to which I will be experimenting this week if it's more loving than my current favorite, eSteem. I will let you all know the results of my experiment after some time.
And last but not the least, this month I did some experimenting on the scheduling feature of eSteem to publish my posts whenever I'm asleep to hopefully get some support from the dolphins/whales in the western part of the world. As to the result of my little experiment, I see little to no difference in the number of support/upvotes I am getting. I am still being upvoted by the same people who have been following me and the communities I am a part of. I kind of already expected that kind of result though, so I'm not really disappointed.
Anyways, sorry again for the long rant! XD At least I can now write this long and fast compared to months ago. I personally think I am improving at this blogging thing because of this platform! And again:
Congrats for you achievements so far you have done quite well! It's true what you mentioned about the same and same votes and this is happening because aside from its followers mostly nobody gets in ''trouble'' to search for more awesome people

Honestly I think, I could just publish a selfie of mine and I would still be getting around the same payout I am currently getting irregardless of quality. XD People always say "quality-this and quality-that", but after you see most dolphins/whales selling their votes, I can't blame people for not anymore trying :)
that's a 100% true and aside the fact i wrote above another one is that even some of your loyal followers don't actually read anything. Maybe the title or the conclusion but probably they would just upvote your post no matter what it is. It's not bad cause you earn money :P but it's not the correct way cause as you said a selfie or photo of your toilet will earn the exact same $$ as a post ta took 3-5 hours :P
Ha ha I have to admit that even I sometimes do this. I have set some authors on my auto-vote list and if they wish so, they could actually post anything and would still get an upvote from me. I do however try to check what their post is all about in the evening though and as you say I base it mostly on the title of the post lol
To use auto-votes i think it's important to trust the authors that at least 90% of the times their post will be quality. Ofc the less free time you have the more autovoting you will do :P
Those are no small feats imo, it is rare to see someone with a reputation in the 60s after all. And I can totally relate to the high number of bots as my followers too, well they are good to look at so I guess it is better than nothing lol.
Btw is this eSteem an app or a site? I am thinking of giving it a shot.

They have a mobile app and a desktop one(called eSteem Surfer). I honestly do love it because of the occasional votes (around $5) Lol. Although lately as you can see I haven't that much luck in getting it. XD
Also, they do take 10% beneficiary rewards. But it is worth it, considering how fast and smooth the app is (at least on Desktop). Give it a shot!
